My granddaughter was having trouble falling asleep today at nap time. All of a sudden she said "What is this song? I've never heard it before!" It was the THIRD song on the CD she listens to every day at naptime!!! So she is asleep in like 6 minutes? Wow. Thank you, Jewel❤

This album means more now than it did when I would play it for my daughter as a baby. We spent a few nights, thank goodness, in children's in Seattle where she was put in a medically induced coma and I was by her side through it all. I remember getting to this song (cowboy's lament) and bawling my eyes out. She always loved the yodeling part. The lyrics never really made much sense until I saw her helpless body laying there in the bed, with tubes and wires and machines beeping. I held her hand and prayed she would wake up and that we would go home soon. I whispered to her stories about what we would do and how we would eat big bowls of ice cream. We're part of the lucky ones who got to go home with our child 2 days ago. We know many are not. So we let her rest, and get her strength back, and tell us when she wanted to do something. I think the best was her asking if she could have a hot fudge sundae. A big one. I knew she heard me. I knew that my prayers were heard too. I am so grateful for our care team at SCH for the excellent service we received and for this album getting me thru some tough times. It was merely a sliver of hope that made the biggest difference between two options we were going to have to choose from. I kept my strength only thru my faith in God and the support I had from my husband and his family. So we celebrated today with a bike ride, and a big hot fudge sundae. Thank you Jewel for having a part in her recovery and keeping my sanity throughout our stay in hospital.

An amazing story really touched my soul I'm sorry for what you and your family went through but I'm glad it is over and you still have your little one. I don't know what I would do without my twins they are 2 months old and It broke my heart when they got their shots today I cried myself. I can't imagine what yal went through but imagine it was way more painful than seeing them in pain like that. Again I am so happy for you guys. Enjoy life and keep God close I know I do.

Played this back in 2012 for my 1st born and still playing in 2023 for my youngest child ❤

My 1 month old grandson stops crying when I turn this on. I used it in my Headstart classroom for years during nap time. I knew it was soothing but never dreamed it could comfort my little one so fast. Thank you Jewel for this wonderful CD

I painted my nursery to this song for my first child in 2008. Hes 13 now and I’m still catapulting to that moment of periwinkle and rainbows❤

It's sad because you waste your childhood wanting to be an adult and as an adult you long for childhood innocence and joyful memories. My childhood wasn't the greatest but I miss the ignorance and carefree attitude. As an adult everything changes, the fantasy becomes a nightmare

And you should...I did. It's a comfort and peace that you can always fall back on. Like your favorite blanket. Another treasure you never should feel bad about not growing out of. I agree. It is some of her best work and I support your napping habits. No shame in getting comfy. I feel sorry for people who fall asleep with no blankets, no sweet music and no peace. My habit is, I'm almost 40 and I still wake up with my thumb in my mouth and the satin from the trim of my "baby" blanket between my fingers. I'm grateful I still have an innocence. Every man and woman should keep a little innocence in their lifetime. Don't give it all to the world. There's no reason to. Keep listening.

Played her album for my whole daycare center I use to manage. This album at nap time put ALL the children to sleep. And I do mean all. From 2-4 yr old. The whole center, and now my children as well. 🥰🥰😇😇 such a blessing

The music, her soothing voice, and the consistency of the album being played each day works miracles. This just put my very active three-year-old grandson out by the end of the first song!❤️❤️❤️.

My parents played this for me for as long as I can remember and I still fall asleep to it this day. It brings back tears thinking of how long ago I came out and how old im getting, good old times.

My aunt who raised me bought me this c.d as a graduation present. Jewel is her favorite singer and we grew up listening to her our whole lives. This album brings me to happy tears. Every night of both of my sons newborn stages and beyond I sung all of these songs to them and rocked them gently to sleep. It reminds me of the deep priceless bond we share and how far I have come as a young mother. It still puts them to sleep at ages four and two. Jewel, your beautiful voice makes so many feel safe and loved ❤

My mom played Jewel for me and my siblings when we I was 6 to fall asleep. Listening to remember those simple years now that I'm a college student - ironically as I'm staying up pulling an all-nighter for a paper. Gosh, the years flew by. So strange. Thanks, Jewel, for the peaceful nights of my childhood and for giving me a window back to them now.

Oh my goodness! I used to work as a teachers assistant at a daycare before I had kids, and they used this cd. I never knew the name of it because they just kept it in the CD player and the lead teacher just hit the play button lol Then I had my own kids and had been on the hunt to find it for them to listen to! It is just so beautiful and relaxing. Soooo glad I found this ❤

My pre-k students listen to this during nap time! I always want to as well, but as their teacher, I never can! Maybe I’ll start in my own time 🫢

I have played this album for both my boys since my oldest was born in 2011. My youngest favourite song is Twinkle Twinkle. We play it every night at bedtime after books.

I discovered this 5+ years later than i wish... yet me (an always fan) and approaching kindergardener are enJoying from now and forevermore.

I guess it's because it's Bluegrass, but she sure sounds a lot like Alison Krauss here. Both ladies have extraordinary voices!
