Jetty Fishing Packery Channel!! (Corpus Christi Texas)

Спорт

Being down in South Texas has allowed me to explore some new fishing areas I have always wanted to fish. This area did not disappoint with its amazing clear water and a solid speckled trout bite!

Thank you for your message. Im sure my wife would want me to go out and enjoy fishing, but not having her beside me still hurts me alot. I glance at her fishing equipment and I have the memories when we would go buy fishing equipment in Port Aransas, especially her fishing rod, a special birthday gift. For now I enjoy the videos, thank you. God bless you and bless our families.

My Dad loved, fishing, hunting & sports! I enjoyed being with him & the family. He loved when we fished, because once we got started, he was surprised how many fish we could all catch at one time. He loved talking off our fish & fishing himself. I was there just after they built the channel, but I have not fished on the jetty.

Thanks for featuring Packery jetti. Your lucky the water was that clear rt now after the hurricanes the water is chocolate milk. Its finally starting to clear up and the fish should be back. There are some sweet spots on that jetti where the big trout and snook hang out and it's in the channel side not the surf side.

I’m so sorry to hear you lost your fishing partner and love of your life. I don’t know if many people know this but I started the channel for my grandfather to watch and be part of my fishing adventures when he couldn’t any more. I have to say in my case my grandfather was the one that got me into fishing and he ended up giving me his boat a couple weeks before he passed. While the pain will always be there with me every time I step on that boat without him. I know that every part of him and his soul is shining down upon me smiling watching me get out on the water to enjoy what he taught me to enjoy. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is doing what y’all enjoyed together, but I think maybe getting back down to some salty water could make you feel closer and that she’s still sitting beside you smiling even though you can’t see her in the flesh. Best of wishes. I couldn’t imagine how much pain you are in but I will continue to make videos and hope that time and soul searching heals your wounds and you can find that happy place again.

Tip: WD40 leaves a grit on your reel that dirt will stick to and will wear out your parts faster. A precision low-profile reel like this one will need to be properly cleaned with just a light coating of oil on the parts and bearings. The noise you hear when you cast is more than likely rough ball bearings on your spool. Getting your reel cleaned periodically by a professional will prolong it's life and reduce the cost of replacing expensive parts, such as bearings.

I know that a lot of restaurants down there will cook your catch for you. If the hotel you're staying at has a restaurant, go make friends with the chef.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I honestly hate bait caster reels. Spinning reels for the win I hate that whining noise of the bait casters they sound like the bearings are going out. SPINNING REELS FTW!

If you won't keep fish you shouldn't be fishing.

one of the trashiest places you will ever see. theres so much trash everywhere its ridiculous. idk unless youre not botherd by big wads of fishing line, glass bottles, socks, diapers, plastics bags i wouldnt go. i know some washes up but most of it is obviously just thrown down. we all know who it is too but if you say anything youre racist 😑
