girl what … I don’t think it was the girls in little mix themselves she’s referring to but the general concept of being in a girl band. She has made it clear that it was management that made her unhappy and the comparisons the general public made of her - comparing her to her band mates. This video is just a small clip from the interview - but in the interview with Josh she made it clear how proud she was of the girls and she had the best memories with them. I don’t think the girls and Jesy would want the fandom to chose sides. Just spread positivity and if you’re not going to then maybe don’t write comments comparing artists ❤️❤️

Don't get me wrong, I'm SO happy for her and I totally get why she left and feel like people need to be happy with what they do in life... But it seems like now she is saying there were a lot of disagreements when all they ever told us was 'we never argue, we are best friends'. And since she left I feel like there isn't much friendship left. Also I feel like she doesn't seem to appreciate the things the band brought her. I love her voice but I don't think without the past 10 years, she could do what she is doing now. I love Little Mix and all four girls and I will support Jesy (altho I think her solo music won't be my genre, still gonna stream it!) Please don't come at me bc I only want to express what I am feeling and still love all of them to pieces and wish them all the best ❤️

I always thought she left bc of the industry or the record label or something, but to say it was bc of the girls is so confusing bc we saw them being truly best friends, or at least they led us to believe they were. The thing about Jesy is that she’s just genuine and it’s amazing, people would think she’s dramatic for it but everyone knew she felt like this all the time, all throughout those 10 years, and on top of that everyone knows it’s not about her being selfish or having beef with the girls etc…. It’s just her wanting to feel better and making music without all the horrible side effects she got in the last 10 years. I can’t wait to hear her music.

She is literally the strongest woman. Obviously people were gonna be upset when she left because so many people loved her in the group and had so many memories of the group as a four. But it’s not selfish of Jesy, it’s selfish of those people to call her selfish because they clearly had no consideration for Jesys feelings. I know it was sad when she left, I heard it on the radio on my way to a work shift and I was trying to hold back my tears in the car with my mum. When I got home and read her statement on her Instagram I cried for ages. But I never for one second thought she was selfish for her decision. I don’t think people thought about the real deep down reasons why she left and until she’s actually sat down and said it, I still think people thought of other reasons such as ‘she wanted to leave and be a solo artist’. For me I was and am happy as long as she’s happy. I can’t wait for her new music.

I think we forget that while we are all enjoying our own journey, there are others who are doing that too. Instead of trying to understand what they are doing we should be focused on ourselves. Jesy clearly needed help but the industry of music is known to be troubling. The CEO of a label doesn't care just like any other CEO. Money rules it and popularity is fickle. 10 years in the public eye would be a lot on anyone but to have the comparison to her colleagues is unbearable. Imagine someone commenting on you while at work saying you don't compare. I think if we just listened to the person by asking them directly instead of worrying about rumours we would have a better relationship with people we actually like having around us. Family or friends come and go. Your own two feet carry you.

I don’t think this discounts their friendship either while in the group, whether they’re still friends or not. Even though she grew a lot in the group the comparisons never went away and that’s where I totally get Jesy, even if she loves the girls to pieces that can be overwhelming to know the entire world constantly compares you to your band mates. I understand some people thinking it’s selfish but she gave a lot of herself for ten years! She deserves to explore herself more musically as a solo. I still love them all.

I just LOVE seeing her eyes light up when she talks about her new music and solo career. This is the Jesy I've loved since 2012 and I will continue doing so. As a Little Mix fan for 9 years, who became their fan BECAUSE of Jesy, it was the hardest thing ever to see Jesy not being herself. It was literal pain in my chest. I've grown with her through these years and she has been my main role model for years. If it wasn't for her, things would've gone very differently in my teen years. Her quotes were always in the back of my head. Even something as small as "wear whatever makes you happy. Dress for yourself and not for other people" helped my finally get the confidence to dress in the style I liked, instead of following the latest trends. Small things, but mayor steps for me. I was always thinking that if she had to leave the band in order to feel better, she should do it, we will all support her. Bands split up over time. It's life. We move on. And I am just so excited to see this beautiful woman BLOOM! I love you Jesy

Ok, here's the thing. What a lot of people didn't like was the fact that she made a big thing out of it being because of mental health (which it seems like it is on SOME level), like she needed to get away completely. When in reality, she wants to be in charge and make her own desicions. She wants to be a solo artist. Her not making the desicions led to bad mental health (we'll see, wait until she is compared to every artist out there). I mean, for 10 years she's been the one speaking loudest about LM not fighting, loving being together, never going solo, etc. It all rings false now. So either she was lying the whole time (which feels like a slap in the face) or she is revising history to fit her narrative, which is ugly if that's the case. Don't even get me started on the other things people are mad about, like the blackfishing and cultural appropriation. I mean, just look at her, who is that? Just be honest, that's all I'm saying, about all of it.

I 100% agree with what you’re saying! Also one of the main things that has been bothering me in each interview she did is that she says she didn’t get to choose what she wore. I don’t feel like that is the truth! I mean there are so many videos and outfits on tour where the other girls wore trousers but she wore a body suit! They could have swapped if she preferred trousers for instance. Also I remember an interview in which she specifically said she don’t like performing in trousers but preferred body suits! I dont know but it all seems a bit exaggerated for me…it feels like she’s hiding the real truth of why she left..maybe im wrong but that’s how it feels

I agree! I’ve been fan of LM since the beginning and we knew Jesy struggled with mental health, but her story doesn’t add up. She was more sad than she was happy? I know people often put on a happy face when they’re not, but it definitely didn’t seem like she was more time sad than happy. If she was and the girls didn’t know that, it’s definitely a slap in the face for the girls. With her sudden departure she will be even MORE scrutinised and critiqued than when she was in the group, so if she had problems with that when she was in the group, she will feel even worse because now she’s all alone.

@@Pomeikukumari How would you know about that? When someone says that they are not happy, it does not mean that they would need to be sad all the time. What you see on camera or even in person do not define the real truth of something that they might have been hiding inside. Or even feeling in general. Why would she look sad in front of the fans or the camera? Just like the rest of the fans, she must've not wanted to appear weak and unhappy in front of others but that was the very poisonous trap which engulfed her. She's had enough of all the pretending as well as the little moments of unhappiness that had been eating her little by little overtime. It goes without saying that Jesy would still be scrutinized and negatively portrayed by people over and over and over gain no matter what since people have picked up this habit of doing so for years. It's simply a fun little game to them. That shit sucks. However this is a major step for Jesy to instead take control of her life that are her emotions and discard the part that have definitely gotten it worse for her. Plus she is not alone. The girls were her great friends but she has more than just them three. She's holding up JUST FINE. Should've been happy for her when she said that she is happy now. Stop dictating her happiness anymore please.

This has nothing to do with the girls, she's not bashing them. She deals with anxiety and depression, people, it doesn't go away, you just learn how to live with it and it isn't a straight line journey. If she feels like doing her own thing is the right thing for her now, let her do it. This is not about you or lm, is about her omgg 💀💀💀

If you were offered money, fame, a career, 3 great friends, the opportunity to support your family and the opportunity to travel and sing, which is your passion, as just a teenager, I'm pretty sure you would also squash any feelings of mental ill health, to make sure you're able to grasp this opportunity and support your friends and family, I'm pretty sure you and all of us would. Not defending Jesy completely, but I think it's a pretty surface level assumption that Jesy 'faking being happy for her fans and the cameras' makes her a bad role model. 90% of singers and celebs you look up to will have all said in interviews, that they hate being on social media or being recognised in public or being forced on tours and shit... it's part of the job and the majority of them fake it for the cameras because there's not much choice, and going on tv and telling interviewers or concert-goers you don't want to be there.... is just dumb

Clearly if she wants a certain idea and fought for it, the others will approve and support her knowing the girls well. Idk why she's blaming them on not letting her do the stuff she wants to do when one of the recent LM interviews, they stated that the label should approve it too and if not, it will be scraped. That usually happens since I've been into one of those "meetings" before on my job. Anyway, I'm just glad she's okay now but I still feel a lot of insecurities coming out from her which makes me think she won't make it as a solo artist.

@@lovebomb19 exactly. This is comparable to a group project at school. Everyone has the right to voice their ideas and if one of them will fight for what s/he wants to do then the others will respect it and do something out of it. If Jesy wants it, she have to do something about it since her band mates are (very) understanding. If she's the one who's putting it back then that's where the problem lies, not just her being in the band. I understand why but if you want to fight, then do so.

From my experience of very extreme anxiety you do channel your causes to situations or people. But your mental health is yours if that makes sense. I can blame being in a crowded room but it's how my body/mind reacts not the room or people inside that room. Another way to explain I could have a twin who looks the exact same in everyway but I still believe I'm the shortest, ugliest, fattest, not clever, not popular one. Being around certain people or not doesn't change how your mind deals with it. I really hope she has a good mental health support around her now and in the future. I don't think she's blaming the girls. Sometimes while there are good moments and all, She would have felt unhappy inside. Like she said, people compared her to the girls and she's not blaming them for it. But it probably stuck on her mind and got it to her bad, along with her thinking she's fat cuz of the troll comments. Like she said, people don't understand. She had good times too and especially with the girls she seemed to be very happy and they supported each other. Also, even in the best friendships, There are disagreements too, Don't forget that. I don't think she's blaming them at all here. Please don't misunderstand. Like she said, People won't get it, till they go through the same thing. And she spoke of how her management team treated her horribly. Those kind of things triggered her to leave ig. It's that we can't have a say of someone's mental health unless we've had the same experience which is mostly impossible
