Powell was my first “media Jesus” when I was a kid. He was very good, but too much hieratic and distant. I prefer Jonathan Roumie in The Chosen. Very human.

This man is a great actor, but I believe no one is good enough to play the role of the Mighty Lord Jesus Christ 🙏 I like the "Ben Hur" portrayal of Christ actually. His face was never scene but His power was brilliantly showcased even without Him speaking!

Some years after he portrayed Jesus, he was filming near a small village in Venezuela on a completely unrelated project. On Easter Sunday , Robert had the day off from filming and the Italian crew decided to go in to the village to have a look around and visited the local church. On their return, they were giggling and told Robert that it was a good job he never went with them, because in the church, behind the altar...was a magazine photo of him as Jesus, blown up to a larger size and that was THEIR image of Jesus Christ!

I admit, this version of this movie is very beautiful, like one of the most I've pretty much ever watched while growing up. The idea of movies like this is to portray the life of Jesus Christ. Some people love this film so much they love the quality of attraction it is to them. The movies about him though aren't going to state every word from the Bible. Some of us have to keep in mind, the truth of Jesus Christ comes mostly in the Bible beyond any portrayal of him. The movie is just a helpful way to give us an idea of what really happened and some details of the story behind it that the Bible won't exactly mention specifically. But the emotions of this film is very touching. Honestly I like this better than watching pretty much any film of the death of Jesus Christ, cause those film are good too but some of them are too overwhelming. The best of this film is the portrayal of his birth and life more than just the death of him. For my age, I sort of am into some of the style of old fashioned.

As I played this video and listened to Jesus’ Blessings, I prayed along. I am consoled & my spirit is lifted. God is my only Judge and HE is always correct in HIS judgement. I no longer fear or feel hurt whenever I am persecuted &/or discriminated &/or despised. God is with me always, I do not fear or hurt easily. I glorify God, i ♥️ God, I trust HIM with all my heart and I keep my Faith in HIM. Alleluia. 🙏🙏🙏

As I played this video and listened to Jesus’ Blessings, I prayed along. I am consoled & my spirit is lifted. God is my only Judge and HE is always correct in HIS judgement. I no longer fear or feel hurt whenever I am persecuted &/or discriminated &/or despised. God is with me always, I do not fear or hurt easily. I glorify God, i ♥️ God, I trust HIM with all my heart and I keep my Faith in HIM. Alleluia. 🙏🙏🙏
