At the recent General Conference, delegates voted to lift the ban on LGBTQ clergy, prohibit District Superintendents from punishing clergy for performing same-sex marriages, and prevent Superintendents from banning same-sex weddings at churches. The global church is moving to be more affirming. We can not ignore the harm that has been done. We will continue to work to build an embracing, healing, and affirming church together.
