I was baptized right there by Pastor Chuck in spring of 1972. I was saved by watching Billy Graham on the television. By God's grace I am a pastor of a Spanish Baptist Church here in California.

I just got baptized today and this is literally how it felt. I couldn’t hear anything even though there was several voices before I dipped and after I rose. It was beautiful - truly amazing and peaceful in those few seconds.

In fact this movie actually make me more holy and active in Christ 🙏 the day I teached about how to make a right choice cos we all have agency and when I got home and on my TV they start the movie and after watching i feel more Christ. I love the movie. HENRY AWULOSU in Ghana.💞🙏🙏👍👏

This scene was so incredibly powerful… I was sobbing along with everyone else in the theatre… the energy, the Holy Spirit clearly moving… the fact that this was captured at sunset…it’s overwhelming 🥺 I couldn’t stop telling my husband about this scene, so I came to find it! Beautiful! praise God! 🙌🏻

Even during production, people - including one of those I was in a baptism scene with - were going off camera to get baptized in real life. People are having similar responses to the movie in theaters, to the point where they’re even jumping into fountains to partake in real-life baptisms - unbelievable.

Amen and Johnathan Roumie(Lonnie) said they could only get one take as God did a miracle. They weren’t even suppose to embrace with foreheads touching. It was so special and deeply moving and yet mostly unscripted. The Holy Spirit just took over Jonathan. :)

This reminds me when I got baptized at corona Del Mar at age 10 years old giving my life to my Lord savior, I’m 40 years now and still in love with Christ 🥹💕

The most powerful 4 and a half minutes in cinematic history. I know because I was there (0:11). I and others could sense the presence of the Holy Spirit on the beach that day. I will never forget it.

This scene made me cry. Reminded me when i was baptised. Today we all need to be reminded God will always be in control. There is a broken world out there. We need to be God's messengers.

This was absolutely the best movie I've seen in a long time. I'm ready for another movement like we had back then. It was real!

Scene was so powerful, the real Greg Laurie led some of the crew to accept Jesus and really get baptized.

How can you not cry. I did and kept on crying every time I think of it. We do need another 1969. I graduated in 1968. I do remember this Era. The hippies, I was one but not 100% like some who left their homes and families. I had a loving home and parents and they were Christians so was I but I still needed Jesus more than I thought I did. Praise God for never letting me go. ❤

at 2:14 I started having tears in my eyes because of the goodness of God. It sparked a memory of how I was once lost and broken but now I'm saved by the amazing grace of the Almighty. Praise Jesus.

In 1978 when I was 18, I was baptized in the lake in the state park. One of the people also baptized that day was an elderly woman in a wheelchair. It brought tears to my eyes seeing the two men lifting the third man from his wheelchair. This looks like an amazing movie.

As much as I loved watching Greg and Cathe get baptized, that scene where the wheelchair bound vet’s buddies brought him out really made the tears pour!❤️🙏🏻

Little interesting fact about that actor. He played Goldberg in the Mighty Ducks movies and before this movie he was in an extremely dark place and was in prison but then during the production of this movie he gave his life to Christ for real

Baptism is an awesome experience. I was baptized in the Pacific Ocean, in San Diego where the Del Coronado Hotel is; this wonderful event took place in 1986, and my mom also. What a beautiful day that was and I will always remember.😊🙌

When my wife and I watched this movie in the theaters, I cried. The scene was incredibly powerful. People in the theater were weeping. People were raising their hands and arms in the air, praising God. ✝️🙏⚡️

I received Jesus in my heart when I was suffering from cervical cancer, and after a year, I was baptized in Red Sea, Jeddah Saudi Arabia..when I come out from the water, I feel that something happened in me.. baptism is the first step that we follow JESUS COMMAND!!! HALLELUIAH FOREVERMORE!!!

My eyes welled up and started to flow in the theater throughout this film in various parts, but nothing got me more than when the paraplegic man was being carried into the water especially after a previous scene with him in it. I couldn't wipe them away my face was so wet.

There needs to be more of this in theaters, television, and in the music industry. Give this fallen world back to God the Father; for he created it.

Got baptized in the lake with my husband and parents 5 months after seeing this movie. ❤😊

I was dead in my sins and suffered from demonic attacks in sleep as a child. When I was 34, (never have read the Bible or preached to) I called on the name of Jesus Christ and the demonic arms that were pulling me into the bed let me go at that name. I went soul searching the for next year. Almost became a Muslim. Then I started reading the Bible starting from the Old Testament. Repented genuinely. Then had another attack but this time I was standing over a little boy crouched in the corner of my room. I said IS JESUS CHRIST LORD? And it turned into a black Smokey figure and flew away. And when I read the rest of the Bible i believed and that’s how I got saved. One of my daughters got saved also in the same year. And we are praying for our loved ones and we planted the seed and praying that God will give the increase. Hallelujah and glory to God the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit

The meaning of baptism was not watered-down. This scene actually thickens it with the sludge of baptismal regeneration, a false works-based salvation doctrine.

It is a symbolic public testimony, letting people know that you are a believer in Jesus Christ and that you identify with Him in his death and burial and resurrection. Luke 3:3 Colossians 2:12 Galatians 3:27 Romans 6:3 Romans 6:4

oh wow this reminded me of my baptism at my friends house in a bathtub. as i got out i started crying, knowing that i fully belong to The Father. After years of taking drugs , heavily drinking , stealing etc. i couldt believe i was free of it all. my LORD saved me, gave me new heart , new desires. Jesus is reall , He can save you and change you completely. I AM FREE
