Jesus Molina is the most influential person to my life. When I was 15, I started playing jazz (transitioning from classic) and he has been the greatest inspiration to my techniques, licks, and tunes. Even for my final piano recital and dissertation, 3 out of 6 pieces are inspired by Jesus Molina. Jesus Molina is also one of the main factors of me starting my own personal brand in KZread, Instagram, and TikTok. Surprisingly doing quite well! I'm educating Indonesians on jazz piano! It hits hard when he said to practice with great intentionallity, serves as a great reminder that the practice I'm doing everyday is not "practice", it's playing! I also have a similar weight problem back then, lost it all when I was 15, lost 70 pounds in 3 months! So his journey hits deep. Never going back to diabetes! Out of all podcasts I watched, this podcast is one of the most inspiring talks I have had in a while. It's a shame I just discovered this now! I am applying to Masters at Berklee in Global Jazz Performance for next year. Hopefully I will meet him someday. Thank you so much Elmo for hosting this podcast. Hopefully I can meet you someday as well Elmo! Love, from Indonesia.

Thanks for sharing! Happy to hear all this. Glad you loved the interview!
This was a great interview - Hearing Jesus describe his faith was encouraging - that he doesn't care what people think; he's going to make it known! All the glory to God - Forever!

Whilst playing, it's those smiles that energizes and encourages his bandmates and is at the same time.
