Jesus Is the Way, the Truth, and the Life - Bishop Barron’s Sunday Sermon

Friends, in today’s Gospel, Jesus makes extraordinary observations about discipleship. He speaks about being enraptured by God, having exuberant joy, accepting scorn from persecutors, and being consecrated into truth.

Thank you, Bishop Robert Barron. Personally, I am a non-sectarian Christian. I remain open, if God leads me to join one of the sects. For now, I have a particular fervor for the ecumenical movement. There, of course, were other very deep rich points in this sermon. I found myself thinking or saying Amen often. One of the beautiful miracles, which the Holy Spirit brings to us, is a single sermon by a warrior of God meaning so much, personally, to so many people. It, “hits us right where we are at; exactly what we needed.” Thank you so much for taking your position and using your gifts to pack so much into a few minutes.

Keep listening brother! Bishop Baron is one of the clearest and most original thinkers that I have heard on Christianity in general and on Catholicism in particular. He brings me closer and closer to Christ and the Catholic church every time I listen to him. I pray he will do the same for you. There are many personalities on KZread that it is our joy and pleasure to listen to. But Bishop Barron stands way above most in his intelligence and ability to expound on the deep truths about God, Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. Shoulder on brother! take up your cross, which for you is your search for God. Keep listening, you will find him. And may you come to know joy, happiness, love and peace through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All the best, God bless!

There are some things in my life where I have to fight for what's right, in my job, my family, etc. But I have to do that without being a force for division. I have to speak the truth and fight for what's right, but still maintain a joyful spirit and not be a divider. That's tough stuff, and I can only do it with the help of God. As a recent revert what I see is that God’s Truth is the ultimate ideal in the Catholic Church. That we aim to hold up and pass on God’s Truth, not the truth of the Catholic Church but the Truth of Jesus. This gives me confidence to speak His Truth without getting hung up on some person’s or denominations beliefs. I don’t have to get angry or try to get my way, I just have to give them His Truth and let those seeds grow.

*POPE FRANCIS:* "To understand one another and to grow in charity and truth, we need to pause, to accept and listen to one another. In this way we already begin to experience unity. Unity grows along the way. It never stands still. Unity happens when we walk together."

Exactly we cannot reciprocate the cruelty, violence, prejudice, hurtful behaviors because we are children of light in Him . My favorite is Colossians Chapter 3 which summarizes what you are saying. Praying for opening of hearts 💟 Thank you so much Your Excellency, your teachings are so valuable. I hope more will understand what true Christianity is . 💖 God bless you, you are always in my prayers Bishop Barron. Praise be Jesus Christ ! Praise the Lord ! 💖

@@martinkent333 My ass is dirt poor, and am intellectually fed an understanding of Consciousness, via its source is Love, for free. See this youtube page. I struggle to understand how Love came to be, but I know Im here, and easily can believe Christ was too. I dont need to believe much else, only that Christ's sacrifice did start and basically ended every fuckin' humans' need to slaughter an animal, every time humans commit a personal sin. So, I'm game with Christianity. I dont believe everything, but the basic ideas are fine. When you discover the issue of where "consciousness" comes from, youll see, that Christianity has a hold of that concept, albeit through the lens of Christ. You'll wonder how you hold any thought at all, and how the fuck is there any love in the world? You dont have to be Christian,....NOPE! but you may just stumble into asking yourself : "Where are my ideals of self kept? Where do my thoughts come from?? How do the sugars, proteins, and water in my brain, make thought/memory??" I wish ya all the best.
