Jesus did what he saw his Father do. Ecclesiastes 3:15 says what happened in the pasts is now, the future has already been, and God requires what is past. Jesus displayed his authority over all kingdoms, principalities, powers, dominions, positions. Remember satan offered them to him because Adam gave away his position and authority to satan at the fall. Also across the sea was gentile pagan worship, what was known as the gates of hell. The demon possessed man etc. Jesus took the disciples there to face those gates, gave them his authority to prevail against them.

Interesting observation, reminded me of similar (i.e. specific) mount of Transfiguration, connected to Hermon (1 Enoch 6-10) This is just a spiritual war and Jesus demonstrated His dominion.

I wonder if maybe God actually used the chaos of the storm, the wind and waves threatening to destroy, to propel them towards the shore faster than they realized. I’ve seen in my own life that when the enemy tries to hit me with fear and situations that could destroy, then God will take what the devil did and use it to strengthen me and show me more of His plan for my life.

Christ is also depicted in the zodiac (means the way-old testament version is Hebrew word used in job) dominating the great sea monster. By the way a good study on the zodiac shows the gospel in the stars (several christian books written on this).

It's interesting that the theory of evolution has life coming up out of the water 😮 the direct idea that exults itself against the knowledge of God.

Aa well as the waves of doctrine that can batter man...and shipwreck faith...as well as the battles in the heavenlies...while in Job...satan said he was going through the earth.... a penatrating source of evil...that not only is the prince of the air (confusing the space between mouths that speak and ears to hear) as well as the stuff under the surface.... disclaimer.... I've not watched this yet.... gonna do that while on my stationary bike. Not sure if that is "working out" my salvation...😅🤣😂
