Jesus Dies (Luke

As Jesus hung dying on the cross, the world was plunged into darkness. While the midday sun failed, the Son of God achieved perfect victory in His work of atonement. In this sermon, R.C. Sproul continues his expositional series in the gospel of Luke and reflects on the dark day of our Savior’s death.
This sermon was preached by R.C. Sproul at Saint Andrew's Chapel in Sanford, Fla. Hear more from his series in the gospel of Luke: • The Gospel of Luke: Se...

Christians never type Bible facts online yet all are complletely wiling to die for Hebrew myths. The Jews created Jehovah God in 950 BCE and that is why there are no pilgrimage sites in Egypt. Let's chat!

Astounding, how Greg Lorry fails to respond to comments. You know them by their works, so what does it tell you about those advocating prayer? Nothing fails like prayer in a children's hospital. Who advocates faith, when it is worthless if you can't move mountains using faith & verbal commands to landscape? What kind of person speaks of god as if we did not have a saying: God helps those helping themselves, because gods have a perfect record of doing nothing, outside of fiction. No wonder Feud wrote the antidote to Christianity is literacy.

“But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: 11 They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; 12 And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. 13 But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” Hebrews 1✝️ The MIGHTY GOD IS JESUS THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD ITS ALL IN HIM

If RC had taken the T off of "planet" he'd have had it right. Thankfully more and more people and many among them Christians, see and know the truth, which also corroborates Scripture about the true nature of heaven and earth.

Those who believe the bible are Christians. Those who read the bible are atheists. Astounding, how Greg Lorry fails to respond to comments. First of all, you imply that reading the Bible leads to atheism, but this is not true. Many people have become Christians after reading the Bible, and many Christians read the Bible regularly as part of their spiritual growth. Secondly, you mock prayer as ineffective and faith as worthless, but this is based on a misunderstanding of what prayer and faith are in the Christian context. Prayer is not a way of manipulating God or getting what we want, but rather a way of communicating with God and aligning ourselves with his will. Prayer is not a substitute for action, but rather a source of guidance, strength, and peace. Faith is not a blind or irrational belief, but rather a trust in God’s promises and power based on his revealed word and deeds. Faith is not a magic formula that can move mountains literally, but rather a confidence that God can overcome any obstacle or challenge that we face in his service. It is not always God’s will to heal a person physically. A person may sincerely pray and truly have faith that God can heal, but if it is not God’s will to provide the healing at that time, then no healing will come (see 1 John 5:14). Sometimes God’s blessings come in other ways besides physical healing. If it were always God’s will for people to be healed, then everyone would be healed every time he or she became ill. If good health were always God’s will, then Christians should never die. We can’t blame someone’s malady on a lack of faith, for we know, biblically, that God sometimes uses illness to accomplish His will. While God can and does heal our physical bodies, we should not expect or demand that He will always do so in this life. The Bible tells us that this world is not our true home, but rather a temporary place of testing and preparation for the eternal life to come. Our hope is not in the things of this world, but in the promises of God and the glory of His presence. Therefore, we should not be overly attached or obsessed with our earthly well-being, but rather seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18: “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” Philippians 3:20-21: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.” Revelation 21:4: “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Russell...How much do you know about Sigmund Freud? He thought humans were animals who could only be hopeless and unhappy. His Roman Catholic nanny died when he was a child and he blamed her for abandoning him. His secular Jewish father sexually abused his daughters. His secular Jewish mother had an affair with his half brother. Freud thought Moses was not a Jew but an Egyptian and the Jews murdered Moses. There is no evidence Freud ever read the New Testament. His quotes in his books on the New Testament are from secondary sources.
