no literally bruh. i have an ed mostly around sensory issues and if someone told me “oh its just your thought process” i would actually flip. like with me if i eat something where i dont like the sensory it can cause me to go into full blown panic attacks or psychotic episodes. its not fun to have to deal with that and not be able to eat at restaurants with my friends because the only food options there aren’t safe for me. its not a “thought process” its something extremely traumatic that i have to live with every day. props to ben because me personally id actually turn it into a whole debate.

I just watched the whole video and I gotta say: • Ben was very respectful to her, even if she was pissing him off and making him feel all types of things. He was a good guest and to be honest, he didn’t shine her in a bad light, he didn’t say anything really rude about her, and didn’t try to push her as this big mean rude old woman. • Mrs Kadie seems like she is a person who genuinely cares so, so much for the animals, and I don’t think she realizes that what she’s doing is wrong. She does realize that it immensely bothers people, but I think her perspective is that she has to be like this person who pushes people to the limits and offend people just to prove the point. • This video was very well thought out, with almost no jokes, showing that Ben wasn’t trying to make a fool of her, or make fun of her at all. • What I think is that Kadie seems like a misunderstood person who does drastic things to prove her point and feelings about being vegan, because she cares so deeply about the animals, which I can get. But it doesn’t mean that she should offend all sorts of people and make them feel uncomfortable and violated in any way. and this is coming from a 12 soon to be 13yr old so that’s that I wrote a whole Ted talk 💀

I love that you talked about the issue of ED. As a kid i grew up with the internet and of course I was very impressionable and saw so many men who went to the gym daily, counted calories and became ripped. As a kid i thought i was overweight (i wasn't, i just thought i was due to selected people who on the internet who created unrealistic standards) and i stopped eating and lived on one or two meals a day for about 6 months. I lost 13 kilos at the age of 12 and genuinely thought that was the way i would become ripped. I later learned that starving myself was not the way to become strong and tried to eat more and due healthier exercising where i wasnt exerting myself, but the 6 months of starving myself had messed up my metabolism and it screwed me over for a long time, and traces of it still remain. And i think that yes, veganism can be an eating disorder, and promoting it can be a horrible thing to do, especially if young people see it. even if it can be healthy, promoting it can make people think that it is a perfect lifestyle and can over obsess about it and become scared to see meat, thinking that it will mess them up for life. Miss Kadie trying to promote it to kids, like that one in the supermarket, is honestly disgusting and misleading to young, impressionable people who may become obsessed.

I’m a vegatarian, But I don’t go around telling people that their religion is wrong and they shouldn’t eat meat. If they ask I tell them “I feel uncomfortable eating once living animals”. But I always make sure they know that they can eat whatever they want. What she did to that poor Uber driver was horrible and just mean. I dunno if I would call it respectful... If Ben had voiced his inner thoughts she would've a. toned it down a lot b. refused to continue filming or c ( what I find most likely ) got into an argument with him... none of these things would've helped the video. It wasn't out of respect to her that he didn't voice them. If that was the case he wouldn't have posted this for everyone to see, including her. You can also tell by watching the video that she trusted him... One example is the part where she asks him to pretend that he found her the giraffe blanket thing. You can tell that she genuinely thought he would edit it like she had suggested. I'm not a fan of the vegan teacher. I love Bens videos. I found this video interesting. However, this was definitely a backstaber at the Vegan Teacher. A big one. Does she deserve it? I dunno. It's definitely going to blow up for Ben though....
