This lady was so full of life and beauty, it pains me that she is gone from us. Her music will stand the test of time. RIP Miss Norman.

She still is the best symbol of freedom of expression friends, young generations can learn so much, having some kind of atitude, of artistic personality, of genuine nature, having style, classy and that precise will to surprise the audience all the time, Opera is not an easy job to do, that's a fact by now

Mostly I listen to Punk Rock Ramones, Blondie, New York Dolls, but also Rolling Stones, etc. etc. but I do listen to two opera singers i.e. the glorious Jessye Norman and Karita Mattilla.

Amazing voice and talent. Astonishing sound. Other worldly. The overly affected speaking is odd. Rest in peace. There will never be another quite like her.

How frustrating that must have been for both Smith and Norman. Horrible job in the sound department when this should have been checked and rechecked prior to this class. Norman has a reputation for being a force of nature and a perfectionist when it comes to her craft and she had to endure this. Must have been excruciating for her.

Her voice was made for Wagner- her Seiglinde is incomparable. The sound guy needs to give up and find a new career. Truly embarrassing.

If you spoke several languages, and sang in those languages, and performed in the highly stylized art form of opera, and lived and worked a good part of your life in Europe--you might not find her manner of speaking fake.

HARRY K, please tell us more about yourself. Where did you learn to speak English, for example, and where did you learn German and French before you sang these languages in the largest concert halls of the world.? Your very limited mind once prevented Marian Anderson from singing publicly, a fact that even now has cemented your place in the trash bin of human history.
