One thing to know about Haitians is that we are multi dimensional. Yes some of us are poor, some of us are uneducated, some of us do voodo but please note many of us are highly educated, Christian, and well of. There isn’t one field or one place that you will not find a Haitian. We are everywhere and are very successful!

If Jamal Bryant parents were married over 50 years, why did he not strive to stay married to his wife that he had 3 children with? WAS HIS PARENTS MARRIAGE BAD, but they stay together anyway?

I resonate and appreciate the part when he asks her if she healed from the abandonment and she said no. Because you shouldn’t change the answer to such a question to make people comfortable. That is a pain will never fully heal, it’s something you have to live with. And that’s the truth when it comes to childhood trauma.

Thank you Ms. Jessie for being you and the whole of you. As an Haitian mother I can say you’re teaching the Haitians youngsters how to embrace their Haitian culture and be American in one breath. I love you child. May God’s love continue to shine in your life. You are enough and you are beautiful inside and out.

My heart really goes out to Jessie concerning her dad. I had my dad and he decided to get on drugs and because a distant cousin type. I really missed who I thought he was and I'm always jealous and grateful when I see other girls/women who have their dad. Dads really need to know how much they're needed and wanted. I also love how Jessie stood on business concerning Pastor Kennon. And I'm not that shocked that he changed his mind once it was someone he didn't think had the star power that Jess Hilarious does. It appears he has aligned himself with those who have star power.

The hyper sexuality in our community has to be addressed. We have seen how it has negatively impacted those who have obtained top positions to open the doors for others of us & how it has stained blk elite families, and blk wealth.

Damn fathers leaving mothers with multiple kids really create a lot of trauma. I’m on the part Jessie is talking about having to be a parent to her younger siblings bc her mom was exhausted from playing the role of 2 parents. Therefore she could get the mothering she needed, nor the fathering bc her daddy abandoned all of them. Life is wild.
