She is one of the only in gospel who doesn't have to scream and holler to bring the anointing into a room. NO ANTICS...

I like that she does not come to entertain she comes to be used by God, to be lead by Him. She worships no matter who's around its not about a show its about God getting the Glory, where ever she goes God's anointing is in her the atmosphere changes, its about lives being changed, chains being broken, yokes being destroyed. Stay humble before the mighty hand of God Jessica.

You don't always need to scream and yell to reach people.

No she doesn't need it. It's your opinion but she doesn't need it. What she needs is what she already has...the Anointing! All the screaming and high notes in the world will not make a song or this song in particular anymore effective or minister deeply. If you listen to the audience she did just great!

Vanessa has a warm voice and her singers complement her, but I couldn't detect the dynamics that made the James Cleveland version so powerful. The choir's voices virtually whisper when they sing "Peace, peace be still," then crescendo when they sing "No waters can swallow the ship where lies, THE MASTER OF OCEAN AND EARTH AND SKIES!!!" If you've never heard the James Cleveland version, I suggest you listen to it--and be prepared to be swept off your feet!
