Classic sexism... Jess was runner up in the 2nd season of Australian Idol, even though she should’ve won! Guy is obviously amazingly talented and absolutely deserves the title of “1st Winner of Australian Idol of the 1st season”! But Jess also deserves much more recognition in Australia. On another note, both Guy and Jess are definitely underrated and deserve so much more international recognition. The rest of the world is missing out on so much talent! 😕😕

I suspect that Jessica Mauboy is slightly better known in the US, but I don't know for sure. Y'all have some amazing talent over there in Australia.

Her voice is really unique and powerful. Everytime she sings i can feel the emotions..

She can’t be faulted for this performance. Pure magic

I was there in the audience. Listening her singing live was an honour for me

That raspy tonality that you oddly dub as “rusty” in her voice? Speak to any actual vocalist/singer, & we will all tell you emphatically that we’d KILL to possess such a distinctive sound & quality. You can’t buy it & you can’t create it, you are born with it or you’re not. And this is not to say anything of her power & range.

Is it just me or does her voice sound even more amazing with every new song? 👌

@@gerardroll6468 Yes true. Although I was quite amazed at how at ease she was singing this on AGT, because she was quite nervous singing it at the logies. I think it might have been because she was singing more in front of her peers at the logies and it might have been because the song was fresh and she seemed more emotionally exposed then. This performance though she was relaxed and her pitch was right on the money, and her tone was just beautiful.

Kerry Stone ..... I think she’s that much of a professional that it really wouldn’t matter WHO was in the audience really. I personally haven’t watched the Logies for “yonks” or “donkey’s years” as I find them truly boring 😣😖😴💤 Apologies to you if you enjoy them but I just don’t. I was actually overseas when this year’s show was on & missed out on seeing Jess 😫😫😫 No problem though as I’ve been pumping her videos into my “Aussie Music” playlist & ADORE her & her videos 🔥❤️🥰❤️🔥

Every now and then I come back to this live performance just to idolize Jess, she's soooo beautiful and amazing, ughhh god

May I point out before more people suspected she Filipino she's not. .. This strong inspirational role model...This beuatiful girl is Aboriginal Australian so she's native to this country but her father is Indonesian, and her Mother Teresa is Aboriginal Australian. She's from a city called Darwin which is also known as the gateway to Asia. She's in a fantastic movie called Bran Nue Dae but the main one that I would like yall to watch to become educated is.. The Sapphires.. her voice will blow you away and you get to understand more about indigenous Australians, Australian history how children were taken away from their parents... she also made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and you can hear her voice as he sings the words thank you.... blessings
