I come from a railway family I’ve had Eurostar cab rides you name it he pisses our community off because he’s using his disability to get famous not too mention all rail enthusiasts have been bullied and they still didn’t get rich and famous and we all have our own sob stories but never got famous that’s what makes the hobby genuine

Trainspotter here, There are some genuinely horrible and manipulative people. Many I know try to keep to themselves because the wider community can be very toxic and they only talk to those they trust and are chill with. People hate him because of how big Francis has gotten making outsiders known to the hobby, they like to throw stuff mainly because they don't see him as genuine when really francis is just another person who likes trains and that's ok. I see this mainly in the older generation folk who are not liked by the younger generation. But then again there are problems with the younger generation taking it too far as well.

@@TheWkc19 do the older trainspotters realize they are biting the hands that feed? Rail fan demographics are legit almost exclusively pensioners. Do they want their hobby gone within a couple decades when they're all pushing daisies? Any self aware hobby would kill to be famous on tiktok if it meant a whole new generation would embrace what they spent their twilight years embracing. All the ad money in the world couldn't buy their hobby something as earnest and positive as a youngster encouraging folks his age to come out about their passions. Even a decade ago this type of passion was non-existent for folks in their 20s. It was a hobby you ditched the second you got into secondary school because you'd be relentlessly bullied by everyone. In an era where youthful earnestness is the key to an interest flourishing online, these elder trainspotters need to get a grip or get ready for their hobby to be bankrupt and dead.

The haters are elitist and self-loathing. Full of envy for a young guy who dared to take the community in a different direction and obtain a platform they themselves wish they had.

I work within LU and i like to to call them Rail Enthusiasts, But what you wrote about who & how the haters are was simply perfect. Francis is a Legend! and a thoroughly decent human being that just wants to be a part of his community. Judging by the end of the video not all of them are arseholes. And props to Jessie for also being a decent bloke. :P

Francis, there are not enough trains IN THE WORLD to fit all of the people who absolutely love and adore you. Even if there were a few people who disliked you there, don't let that forget the MILLIONS, literal millions of people who's days and hearts you have lightened with your pure spirit. I love trains too - Im in Canada and wish there were more opportunities to enjoy them. You are truly in train paradise!

In a world so full of toxic masculinity this video shines brightly, there are plenty of men who should see this and reconsider their approach to life! Wholesome, kind and genuine guys supporting each others passions and one another. More of this sort of thing, huge love to both x

What two fine young guys they are. A heartwarming video. Two guys respectful of each other’s passions in life. Hard to believe fellow trainspotters would not be grateful that an enthusiast like Francois has actually made what was once considered an ‘anorak’ pastime so interesting. I sense jealousy amongst a few of them. But lovely to see him warmly bid farewell at the end. I’m not a trainspotter but find his enthusiasm heartwarming and his love of life infectious.

jesse's lovely. i remember at united, i waited outside to meet the players in the rain and he stopped for a good half an hour signing and taking photos with all of us. he was one of only two players who acknowledged us.

This is sweet, as a kid who wanted to be a trainspotter but had parents push me away because "Liking trains is autistic" this honestly makes me happy.

Francis seems like the type of person who is just genuinely nice and somehow stumbled onto social media. In a sea of shallow “influencers” it’s really nice to see a guy this genuine. Also Jesse Lingard, what another nice fellow in a sport where it seems like arrogance is rewarded. I hope both these guys keep being themselves!

Stumbled lol… much like most other social media stars this guy far from stumbled, he has rich parents that helped fund his rise to celebrity status and exploited his disability to get the sympathy along the way!! He is playing a character, the passion for trains may be real but a lot of it is exaggerated and created for views!!! Why do you think so many of the successful KZreadrs nowadays aren’t the average kid with a camera type people like 10 years ago and are actually kids from privileged backgrounds? They bankroll the sub-bots and pay for favourable algorithms!!!! This guy is about as genuine as Keith Lemon!!! That’s just what we will see more and more of now with all the avenues available for people to create a celebrity from their own home studio without the need to go thru the old school media route!!! It’s no longer Simon Cowell or some big corporation manufacturing the stars it’s parents doing it with their own kids!! And the scary part is the kids all want it, go to any primary school in the country and ask the kids what they wanna be and 90% of them will say a KZreadr…. And to think we used to wanna be astronauts and firemen!!!

You can tell Francis really loves trains. I know the feeling - I get that way with airplanes. There can be toxic people in every fandom and it brings you down sometimes, but you can't let them. Just love what you love and you'll attract the people that love the same things.

We have to protect Francis at all costs. He is so pure hearted…I can’t 💔🥺💕

Someone who's so genuine like this shouldn't EVER feel bad about their passion. I hope he knows how appreciated he is and how brilliant so many people think he is. Life's too short to not be fearlessly yourself.

Lingard strikes me as the kind of fella that would have stuck up for the nerdy kid in the playground. Seems to have a kindness about him.

Francis is a class act and you can tell he's genuinely enthusiastic about everything he does! His enthusiasm is inspiring and that's what it's about. 🎉

The 'odd couple' really were a team, Jesse was lovely in the way he consoled and built Francis up.

I only have 1 complaint about these videos. They are not long enough. If you're enthusiasm was a drug, it would be a class A. It's that genuine, powerful and infectious.

The first video i ever saw for Francis was when he was at Brighton station seeing the Dick Mabbutt train and i genuinely thought it was just another meme video just messing about because of the funny name as well as thinking his enthusiasm was put on for the camera as well as the gopro thing too. But then when i watched more of his stuff, i realised it was nothing like that at all and he infact is a huge train enthusiast and his hobby and interest has led to him traveling to other places around the world, having his own book and getting his own mini series which is freaking awesome. So this guy is definitely one of a kind awesome
