Wrestling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu are two different things. This is the Brazilian Bullrider's secret. I wrestled I'm high school too. Now I'm a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Brazilian's grow up training Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu trains you how to maintain balance while maintaining top control. It develops your ability to transition your weight within .001 of a second in order to maintain that center for top control. This type of balance translates perfectly with bull riding. This is why Brazilians have mastered the PBR over American Bull Riders.
