In this final video of my Beginner series I have decide to make a bundle of trays and share different techniques with you .. This video is chilled with music ... I hope you enjoy x

    Ugh that lime and orange and turquoise are 🥰 ! I looove the splatter one! The baby pink and baby blue together are so pretty! And that last dark burgundy red is beautiful! Looks like so much fun!!

    I just love the different effects you can create with these, all the different patterns and textures, and I love how you can make the same tray mould look 1000 different ways. The possibilities are endless. I love the turquoise and pink marbley one. Awesome!!

    Wow Claire, these are super. I would have to agree on your first choice ( the one with Jesmonite dust in it) definitely No1 but I do love the wine/burgandy/plum ones - luscious colour.

I hope you’ll always wear gloves, eye wear, respirator, well ventilated room. Resins and Jesmonite can cause skin allergy and toxic shock. Hope you doing great.

    Hey lovely ... thank you so much. Im so glad you have found my videos interesting 🤩🤩 You do not need a respirator with Jesmonite ... you need a dust mask. You also need gloves ... Epoxy Resin and Jesmonite are totally different substances. When I use Epoxy Resin . I wear a respirator .. eye protection .. gloves and have the window open luckily, jesmonite does not need such drastic measures however safety is key ! So I do wear a dust mask.

    They are lovely.. I learned from a lady on here to dust the mold with talcum powder or any powder and it stops the little bubbles in your resin, just pour a small amount of talc then using a makeup brush cover the whole mold then blow off the powder its worked for me every time.

    Hi Claire, thank you so much for all your wonderful information on jesmonite and sharing your journey.After I watch this video I clicked on the retarder you mentioned to find out more on it, it appears that it is only suitable for the cement based material AC730 and not ac100 unfortunately. Thought this maybe useful info 😊. “Update”I just found out that you can in fact buy retarder for AC 100 , my supplier here in Ireland, has assured me that it is for use with ac100. This is good news 🤗

    How many of those trinket tray molds do you have!? That pink looks just like strawberry milkshake. Did the turquoise stain the mold? Where do you get the paper cups you use? These are all freakin awesome. I love the white one with the black spatter, and the purple one where you saw a face.

    I have 10 trays in total .. and sometimes the ink comes off on the mould yes ... but its water based so comes off immediately ❤❤❤

    heyyyy Frances thank you so so much xxx sadly it is not available in the USA ... I believe it can be purchased through 2nd hand suppliers on Etsy .. I would suggest either looking at Aqua Resin which is a USA equivalent or ... contacting the Canadian stockists of Jesmonite the shipping will be cheaper than having it shipped from further xx

    Heyyy lovely ... I didnt ... but you can see that as the lines are not crisp. You can leave it to dry though... either way works x

    Lovely...just a question dear do u leave the lines to dray before topping it with the mixture?? ... Also for the black color that u put inside the plastic u added liquid +powder + pigment right??? Any ratio for that small amount ???

    Heyyy Hoda, Yes I let them dry about 10 mins before pouring ... and the Black inside the bag was the normal ratio of liquid and powder mixed.

    Can’t wait!! Thank you for sharing the knowledge that you have!! I only just started with jesmonite last week and I already love it so much. I just had one question, do you think it matters if I don’t use the jesmonite brand acrylic sealer? I live in Hungary and they are not selling it here. And no one shipping to Hungary from the UK anymore.

    Heyyyyy no it doesn't matter ... their website says most Acrylic sealers are compatible with Jesmonite xxx ohhh didnt realise nobody is shipping from UK 😢😢😢😢😢

    Heyyyy Abi .... I use the jesmonite with pigment in for the splatters and piping xxx if you use neat pigment it will remain wet and sticky xx ❤❤

    heyyyy lovely, I believe it is no more than 5% but you need a good few drops to make White and same with Black

    Heyyyyy lovely ... at this stage I don't lol I just mix lots and fill what I can ... I know they take 200l volume .... but thats not weight x so I still need to do the calculation .. my guess is around 350g weight

    Heyyyy Anita.... To make patterns like that you need to mix the Part A and B together .... Then ... add your pigment to that x If you just put pigment on the moulds it would become a sticky mess xx you can however .... add pigment to sealant .... to create a paint 😍😍😍

    Heyyyy lovely... they are pretty sturdy ... but also very heavy ... so the chances of them breaking are high. However ... I did a smash test ..... and dropped a coaster to the ground several times before I smashed it with a hammer ... it really did take a big smash to break the coaster .... then I threw it to the ground pretty hard and it smashed again... I guess I will have to test the trays x but I would say ... they wouldn't break on carpet .... but they might on wooden or tiled floors x Also thank you xx ❤❤❤ Also ... they might break toes before they break lol

    Heyyy lovely ... they need to be sealed. I use jesmonite sealer. Then they are waterproof... but not for soaking in water and not in dishwasher. They can be wiped with wet cloth happily 😁😁

    I just tried these molds for the first time. I did a set of 3. I used art resin that I poured in 3 layers. 2 of them fused to the molds. I did not use heat on them. The rims were all full of holes. I used tattoos on the mold but you really could not see the pictures at all when they came out. I'm guessing that only works with pastel type colors. I used a translucent purple. Any suggestions?

    Heyyyyy lovely ... oh gosh I have not heard of resin fusing to moulds without heat .. What resin are you using ? I would send the moulds back ... if they are brand new they sound faulty

    @@sabrinaproctor3981 I would definitely try an Epoxy Resin that can handle depths of up to 10mm .... that is what I use ... I fill them all at once xxxx then it heats itself up and cures fast xx I am guessing 3 layers could all heat at different times ... or get too hot.

    Heyyy Amy ... you don't have to sand it at all no x the only thing you would need to sand .... is the bottom of the piece if it came out of the mould with sharp edges .... I would sand them back immediately after they come out x Advice is to wait 24 hours but I dont ... mainly because after 24 hours it is like sanding a ROCK.

    Just wondering when your doing the jazzy patterns and stuff you're using the mixed jesmonite, do you let that pattern set before pouring over the top? Had my first disaster make just put the neat pigment into the mould first it splodged into a horrible mess haha

I didnt in this video ... but you can ... and it is neater to let the splodges dry first ... but the pigment is super sticky so it has to be mixed in the jesmonite .... as you have now found out x but I have had it happen where the pigment was in the hesminute in marbling ... and the black was a sticky mess on the mould ... x

    thank you .. I got mine from Resin 8 they started a jesmonite range .. but I have since bought the Jesmonite pigments from local Jesmonite stockist Flints in London.

    heyyyy lovely ... this is much much safer than Epoxy Resin. It is Eco Friendly and water based ... no chemicals. So you should be ok .. however ... I have to add a disclaimer that I do not know 100% ... You still need a dust mask but not a full respirator like with Resin.

    hey lovely .. I used the Jesmonite pigments to make my own colours .. so red and yellow for orange ... and i had to Google how to make Turquoise ha aa shocking stuff considering i studied art at school. lol The Jesmonite pigments are limited to around 6 colours .. but you really can make most colours of the rainbow with them x
