Who is Israel ? Daniel 9 Say's your People and your City named after the Lord, Israel. Jesus Christ is Israel, and the Tribe's of Israel are the Natural Branches and Christian's are the Wild Branches both Grafted into Israel Jesus Christ, By Faith We are the Seed of Abraham and the Promise of God and Jesus Christ. There is Neither Jew nor Gentile All One in Israel Jesus Christ.

Luke 15:11-32. The Prodigal Son. My parents had a prodigal son. I am the sister of that son. It was hard not to be jealous of the fact that he got the same wonderful treatment from my parents that I had gotten all of my life, when he came back into the fold. But then I reminded myself of all of the blessings and protections that I had received in my life because I never left the fold, that he did not get. He grieved over the blessings he had missed while out in the world. He is most grateful for the grace of God and the fact that he was given a second chance. The Jewish people will be that same.

The version of God who keeps his side of the covenant, even when the chosen people do not - this makes me want to serve him more. It's very humbling, because we've all fallen short of God's righteousness, and it's only his love, grace, and mercy that has kept us where we are, instead of divorcing us forever.

Hebrews says that old covenant is passing away and with the temple destroyed, that old covenant is impossible to fulfill.

Joel I am so very thankful l for you guys at FAI. At this point in my life still new to my faith these waters can be so difficult to navigate. Finding FAI early on in my walk along, with a burning prayer for decernment I feel The Lord is keeping me stable and focused with the studies you guys put out . BLESS YOU GUYS. 47 Years old single mother of 2 very young girls I've been clean for 16 years off street drugs 3 years off anxiety meds. escaped domestic violence and healed from Ptsd yet even with all that to feel accompanied I still was so lost and stuck in darkness. Getting well still brought me NO peace. ONLY Jesus ....only His Mercy. God , His word have done such amazing things and I owe it to do my best to understand THE LETTER HE HAS WRITTEN FOR US. Great analogy of love for our own “backslidden” children.

This proves intelligence does not prevent deception-pride paves the way for deception. God did not do away with Israel and His people! When you read all the Old Testament prophets you read over and over that Israel is most loved people, he made promises which he always keeps. Thank you. I always pray and say my God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

I remember my two Great Uncles who fought the Hitler. One lost his leg. Both had night terrors. My Mom's good friend had a steal plate in his head and lost several fingers. He was gassed as a prisoner of war. Came to under a pile of bodies, and managed to escape. Why the heck was this not tought to our children in school. From the USA no one should ever go thru what the Hebrews did in WW2.

So then Jesus was a false teacher by saying that all the things he described in the olivet discourse was going to happen on the generation he was speaking to and in chapter 1 of Revelation, John wrote about the things that were soon to happen not in the future. Dispensationalism this guy teaches is only 200 years old and a major deception created by cults.

You have been unpacking biblical topics I hv slowly been learning for the past thirty years. I have one of those back slidden children you described. His heart has been hardened n negatively influenced by those who control the narrative. We are praying YeHoVaH will do a heart transplant. The spirit of the age is so very real.

If only all churches could teach the same sound doctrine as FAI studios. I live in Canada and our churches up here are so lost...so very sad it makes my heart ache. God bless you all at FAI.

God uses the same language to speak about mystery Babylon as He used to speak about Jerusalem in the book of Jeremiah. But there's no possible way Jerusalem could be mystery Babylon? Jeremiah 7:34 ESV - And I will silence in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, for the land shall become a waste. Jeremiah 25:10 ESV - Moreover, I will banish from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the grinding of the millstones and the light of the lamp. Very helpful explanation of current interpretations. I have to trust the “the 22 year old seminary students” (and everyone else) who are seeking the truth with pure hearts will find it. God has rarely chosen those held in high esteem in this world as His vessels.

I almost didn't watch this video because I already know that Jerusalem is NOT the Great Harlot, but Joel brought out so many other good points. I always learn a little something every time I watch. Thank you, Joel. This video has re-enforced my understanding of the two women depicted in Revelation 12 and Revelation 17 - two separate symbols and not to be conflated as one. I appreciate your teaching and how you have called out the false position of Preterists and the Replacement doctrine that is anti-Semitic. Oh that others would take Matt 25 seriously and not be a goat!

All the more reason for them to be concerned about what they are preaching. They are called to a higher standard as teachers.

I’ve been to John Hagees church 10 or 11 years ago, and I’m here to tell you that the second you walk thru the doors you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. It truly was a blessing.

Some churches are full of emotion and its easy to catch the feels. I am an ex Roman Catholic and believe me I felt the spirit there when praying to a piece of bread and, sniffing incense, worshiping statues and chanting prayers to the Virgin Mary and dead saints. Very sensual, very hypnotic. Dont go by feelings. Some of what Hagee says is true and beautiful its the small things you need to test. It's subtle. You feel close to God because you are drawing near to him. Keep seeking and all your questions will be answered. God is drawing you to himself. He called me out of RC and false religion.

My only question is if it’s not Jerusalem, then what city is it that has killed the prophets?

Trust the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and he will direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil. If you are intelligent, it could be that you are wise in your own eyes. These highly intelligent types don't look to God for wisdom, they rely on themselves and suffer because of it.

We arent grafted into a 'church' we are grafted into Israel. You should reread what Paul wrote carefully in Ephesians. The word 'church' is an English word that is used for where it says 'ecclesia' in the new testament. The transcribers of the King James Bible were forced to use it per King James. Ecclesia does not mean 'church' it means assembly. Paul is very clear that we are grafted into Israel, and have now been brought near the covenants and commonwealth through our faith Jesus. The only New Covenant God makes in the Bible is with the House of Judah and the House of Israel (Jeremiah 31)...there are no covenants with Gentiles or some special designation for Gentiles.

Dang, the Hagee vs NT Wright comparison put into words something I've thought but haven't been able to quite articulate. Think you're spot on, and it's a real problem.

That's exactly the double role Jerusalem is going to play.

1948 was absolutely the Parable of the Fig Tree coming to fruition. In Mat. 24:32 Christ said, "Now learn the parable of the fig tree." It was a command, not a request.

That verse is not applying to preterism. When you read the bible it has to be read in context. Context: destruction of the temple and end of the old age as prophesied in daniel 9:24-27. Terrible biblical hermeneutics.

Physical Jerusalem is Babylon where Yeshua was killed but spiritual Jerusalem is the city of peace and a state of mind . The woman is both but one is physical and one is spiritual.

I didn’t know that there are certain “church leaders” who say that Jesus isn’t coming back. I knew there were “Christians” who think all of the prophecies of Revelation have already been fulfilled. But going so far as to say that Christ isn’t returning again sounds demonic to me.

How can there actually be people in the seminary and might believe that Israel won’t ever be saved, coming to the salvation of our Lord in the future?! They will see the coming of the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great glory. (Paraphrasing) Zechariah 12:10 They will look on me whom they have pierced and mourn for him as for an only son. They will grieve bitterly for him as for a firstborn son who has died.

And since I didn’t know who Don Preston was I just watched a debate with him and Dr. Michael Brown, a Messianic Jew. I never truly knew there were people who could so totally incorrectly interpret the scriptures. It was saddening to say the least. It was like having to listen to the doctrines of demons, like what it would be like to have to listen to Satan twisting the truth of scriptures into lies and deceptions.

I think that there is a great misstep here. The woman with the moon, sun and 12 stars is not Jerusalem, she's Israel. We get a picture of this all of the way back in Genesis 37: 9 where we have the moon, sun and 11 stars. The reason for the 11 stars in Genesis is that Joseph is speaking of his dream to his father and it's clear that the 11 stars are Joseph's brothers because the stars do obedience to him. Joseph is the 12th star. 12 Stars = 12 Patriarchs of Israel in Joseph's dream. Moreover, this woman of Revelation 12 flees to the wilderness, so we know the imagery of a city is way off at that point.

Christ is Jewish. And is coming back to establish a Judeo-kingdom. Sorry that bothers you but it's clearly spelled out in the Bible. The New Covenant is made with the House of Israel and the House of Judah, all of Israel will be returned to God. The kingdom will sit in the New Jerusalem and Jesus will sit on the throne of David. Jeremiah 3:8 does state that God sent Israel away with a certificate of divorce for her unfaithfulness. But he never stopped loving her, and accepts her back because He is the faithful husband and full of mercy.

He says that He will go back for them because of His own Name. Then everyone who is saved will be redeemed by grace alone. No human effort or merit can be lifted up. God alone owns the glory, for He carried out salvation without anyone else's help. God speaks of Egypt; His people, Assyria; His handiwork, and Israel; His inheritance. He speaks of the gentiles carrying in the daughters and sons of Israel, back to their land, and nursing them, and serving them. Our love for the suffering servant should spill over to the least of His brethren. That is what a disciple looks like.

For what it is worth when you're reading that part he is speaking to the northern kingdom when he says he's giving them a certificate of divorce differentiating between the Northern Kingdom of Israel and the southern Kingdom of Judah a lot of people take that verse very much out of context. But as you have said yourself he has never stopped loving her. But yeah I've heard many people quote that verse from Jeremiah not realizing that it's specifically the northern kingdom that's being mentioned so many people don't realize that many prophecies when they are talking about Israel aren't talking about the whole but are actually talking specifically about the northern kingdom in distinguishing it from the kingdom of Judah and vice-versa there some prophecies about the kingdom of Judah that do not have anything to do with the northern kingdom

No it actually doesn't say God divorced Israel ! You have to continue reading the chapter, to see it's all about Redeeming Israel and the Tribe's of Israel. Just as the Prophet asked God Who he should Marry, and God told him to Marry the Town prostitute Who every night would sell herself to the highest bidder, so the Prophet married Her, and every night she went to the town square and sold herself to the highest bidder still, so the Prophet asked God what he should do ? Divorce Her or what ? God said sell everything you have an go and give it to Her, so he did and became the highest bidder, and Redeemed his marriage ! Crazy right ? But guess it worked !

I met N.T. Wright about 15 years ago. I attended a weekend conference he did. I read/studied two of his books carefully & read them 3 times. I have to say I couldn't not agree with some of the content. In fact, i strongly disagreed with it. He is an eloquent speaker & many of his points i didn't have issue with but...a small spoonful of sugar makes the poison go down as you said Joel. Mr. Wright was respected as was our church Pastor who invited him. People automatically submit to things taught because they would look bad if they were a fly in the ointment. Call me McFly. I just couldnt/wouldn't go along with parts of what he taught. 😉

Your content is profoundly enlightening on so many levels, but who's idea was it to break-in on every single episode with a commercial for one of your other programs? As far as I know, you are the only YT channel who does this thing...& I most certainly hope that 'grest idea' won't catch on. I know that many of you have already stated in your videos that you don't read the comments, so this will probably go unnoticed. This isn't being hateful, but personally speaking, interruptions are distracting and rude. I'm not going to unfollow, or stop the $5/month campaign...I just wanted to offer another point of view. I think your other programs would be wonderful, & would overwhelmingly want to search those things out with provided links in the description because of the overwhelming blessing/wisdom/revelation received with each episode. Why dont do take up your cross on this one? His channel is a ministry and many people are watching each and every video for the first time. You have no idea what a whiner you look like to the rest of the world when you cant endure a tiny break in a video for MINISTRY. God help you when persecution really hits hard.

As Scripture Say's By Faith We are the Seed of Abraham and the Promise of God and Jesus Christ.

After listening to some of these studies, it really highlights my ignorance. And I see the gospel very differently now in the teaching of the apostles. It makes complete sense that Christ sacrifice is for all of Israel and for their complete repentance at his return. Dispensationalism was a horrible teaching. It really created. Divide between the church in Israel.

I would love to have a conversation with Joel. I bet we could learn a lot from each other. I have a woman's perspective on the book of Revelation, and the day of judgement, that is rarely given in this world. My hope is to make some kind of difference in the hearts of people... that is my purpose on this earth, after all.

It says that Jerusalem is Sodom and Egypt. Note, it does NOT say Babylon. Note that it does NOT say Whore of Babylon. So, that would really be a lousy "proof text" that Jerusalem is the great Whore of Babylon. If it said 'Whore of Babylon' you would have something... but it doesn't. I would suggest this, take every attribute of the Whore of Babylon that you find in Revelation and list them down on a spreadsheet... Like "for by [her] sorceries were all nations deceived" (Rev 18:23) and "clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls" (Rev 18:16). Make a list of What her appearance is , What are her sins, and What is her Judgement. You'll find a couple that scripturally fit but cherry-picking verses is a bad way to interpret Biblical prophecy and leads to the "private interpretation" warned of by Peter. Bottom line, unless we have the word of the Lord or his prophets saying, "Jerusalem is the Whore of Babylon." all we are doing is supposition.

So who or what is Jerusalem the city of the King?

Speaking of sugar making poison go down. Off topic but I would liked some prayer. I won’t get into the story, but I’ve been using weed for a while. I’m starting to quit but I’m not going cold turkey. Im already going through a lot of stress and I won’t be able to handle withdrawals on top of this. Not bad ones anyway as I’m already having them lol. But yeah they suck and I repent. If you’re not sure if it’s ok or not, it is very helpful in the beginning days of using, until you find yourself addicted. If you’re suffering emotional trauma as I do, don’t let this stuff fool you. My childhood fear of being abandoned by God returned and k realized that this stuff DID NOT HELP. It only helped me bury it. Sorry God I really am. Yearn for the Lord and his ways for they are better. Plant that in your heart and he will see it. And he will cover you in Love and you will remember your sins no more. Praise Jesus our King Bringing up Hosea really blessed me lol

I had an incident happen while praying in my car and I reacted with an expletive DURING the prayer. I then prayed an apology to God. My next words were, "Hah, I'm not even sure if you exist." I quickly prayed another apology and continued on my way. That night at 1:23am I was awakened by a voice "You are fine, just do your work." Scared me to death. I woke up early the next morning, sat straight up in bed and said, "Work? What work?" Needless to say that changed my world. Pray to Him, talk to Him, let Him know how you feel. Yes, He already knows, but tell Him anyway. Things do change through payer.

Problem with believing the Harlot isn't Jerusalem is the coincidence that the 10kings/beast attack Jerusalem after they align themselves to the beast with a covenant (dan 9:27) and likewise the 10kings/beast attack the harlot after she joins herself to the beast (rev 17:16). There's also the perfect parallel between "get out of her my people" (rev 18:4) a reference to the Jewish people and Jesus' warning to those in Judea to flee (matt 24:16). Jerusalem can be both the harlot and the woman, the harlot is destroyed as the woman flees to the wilderness.

Jesus telling the people to come out of Jerusalem before its destruction is a shadow of coming out of babylon, it doesn't mean babylon is physically jerusalem. God told Lot to come out of sodom before its destruction, God made Rahab the harlot come out of Jericho before its destruction, God made the Kennites in 1 Sam 15 come out of the city of the Amalakites before its destruction, and God made the worshippers of the Lord come out from among the worshippers of Baal in the time of Jehu when Jehu killed all the Baal worshippers. These are all shadows of Babylon and coming out of her. Babylon is no physical place, and she is summed up in all false religion in the name of the true God (the roman cathloic church being the mother of it all - Daniel 7 and the little horn coming out of Rome). Dan 9:27 is talking about JESUS confirming the covenant. He (with the sacrifice of Himself) caused the sacrifice to cease, and He in 70 ad made the temple desolate because the old covenant system was done and served its purpose and was needed no longer. No more physical temple (we are the temple).

Even Martin Luther fell into the jew hatred trap. He went crazy with Jew hatred at the end if his life. Luther couldn't convert jews to "catholic -light" christianity so he turned against them in anger. I'm not a calvinist, and never have been, but from watching these videos, I'm starting to think that the confusing verses in scripture that say things about predestination actually do mean that some people are predestined to be saved. From what Joel is saying here, it sounds like God has predestined the people of Israel to be saved, in spite of their rejection of Jesus. Also, I find the verse that says, "The will look upon the one they have pierced..." very confusing, because it isn't the modern day Jews who killed Jesus. How can they mourn over something that they didn't even do?

Replacement theology is just a cover to excuse Jerusalem as the Whore of Babylon. That's all it is. It's nonsense. There is no replacing them. Salvation is here for them first, and also to us.

Hi, I watched your video in an earnest attempt to see if you could correctly and Biblically argue against the premise that the Harlot of Revelation could be someone other than Jerusalem, and I was not convinced by your arguments. I believe in truth Revelation is a story of two cities, the Earthly Jerusalem prior to the Roman destruction and the New Jerusalem, that will come down from Heaven. As to your point that this view could be “evil” remember that in John 8:44 Jesus told the Pharisee’s that their father was not Abraham, but the devil. The Books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel and Hosea speak of Israel and/or Jerusalem as a Harlot (a quick word search will give you that). In Revelation 11:8, Jerusalem “the city where our Lord was crucified” is called “spiritual Sodom and Egypt”. I have been a Futurist for 27 years, but I am know inclining to regard Partial Preterism as a correct framework of Biblical interpretation of Revelation and Mark 24… I had not realized how unfounded the dating of John’s writing of Revelation was… it makes much more sense for it to have been written prior to 70AD, rather than around 95AD. As to how Preterism makes me view today’s Jewish race… it makes me see them as lost as any gentile person… needing Salvation through the sacrificial Work of Jesus Christ. The problem with Hagee’s Theology is that it has led him to say that “Jews need not to repent and will come to redemption through the observance of the Torah”. Which is total heresy. I hope that my post doesn’t offend you, but rather encourage you consider other possible explanations… I understand Futurism is taught in most seminary schools in the US, thus it has become dogma for may, including myself until just recently. One would have to be absolutely spiritually retarded to say Jerusalem is the city that gets destroyed in one hour that the nations mourn over, that is absolute stupidity. Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. Wow that is the ultimate proof! Jerusalem is the city of God protected by him. Rome will be destroyed in one hour. You can also see here Jerusalem is never destroyed and is still existing at the return of Jesus. Jerusalem is granted the spirit of grace. Also Jesus' feet touchdown in Jerusalem which could not take place had Jerusalem been destroyed and never again inhabited, this truth is hidden from those who teach falsehoods. Zechariah 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him.

@@scott596 We know Jesus is coming on the last day after the tribulation, and after the children of the wicked one are gathered and burned as Jesus taught in Matt chapter 13. It's so simple the rapture happens on the last day. When we are changed death is defeated on the LAST DAY, being the last enemy to be put down, at that point there can no longer be anymore death. That's why this happens on the LAST DAY. It's simple, Jesus said he would come on the LAST DAY and raise the dead first on the LAST DAY, and then we which are alive and remain unto his coming on that LAST DAY shall be caught up. All this takes place on the LAST DAY according to Jesus. John 6:39 And this is the father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the LAST DAY. John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that everyone which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. John 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. So here we see the dead being raised first on the LAST DAY, and we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall be changed on that LAST DAY defeating the last enemy which is death, and there can no longer be any more death, as it is defeated when this mortal puts on immortality on that LAST DAY. Jesus made it very clear, that we are taken on the LAST DAY. Any deviation from that is false doctrine, confusion, and deception.

Death is not finished until After the Millennial Reign of Jesus Christ and the Saint's, After Satan is Released again for a short time to Lead astray a Third of the population, to make War one last time against the Son of God Jesus Christ, and then Satan Lucifer Allah is Cast Alive into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone Forever where the False Prophet and the Beast are and Death and Hell Hades Sheoul is Cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone Forever and Cast into Outer Darkness Forever and Ever Without End. Then the New Heaven's and New Earth Come down from Heaven.

It's not confusing really. The issue is we have LIARS and WOLVES everywhere today. God was clear that it's Jerusalem, over, and over, and over again in the scriptures from Ezekial to Revelation to "Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: 35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
