the most watched game live in history was real madrid against ac milan in the us they sold over 100.000 thousand tickets. Its not even a dpubt that football is way more popular also in the US even if it involves european teams

As an American I just find it so weird that anyone likes our game. Cheers to these fans but it still seems weird. I have a hard time believing it because I see so many comments slagging the game off as being a bad version of rugby or whatever. I always suspect that English people dislike American sports in general.

English people like anything American. Music, food, TV, fashion and even sport. Baseball might struggle here, but if the NBA or NHL played a regular season game here, they'd sell out in minutes too.

@@evacody1249 well not totally correct. Hockey is very popular in certain parts of the US but it's just not a true national game. It's huge in Massachusetts and Minnesota for example on the youth level.

There were two leagues that merged into the NFL in the 1960s. In the US college football is pretty much the "other league." The largest stadiums in the country actually are all college teams. College football plays on Saturday, NFL plays on Sunday 👍

Well they aren’t going to pick the shittest team are they???? And considering most of them have no connection to any American State or City it’s Human Nature to connect Yourself to the current flavour of the Month who are the best at the time they first became Fans… Most People from the UK will never be fans of this game with 1 of the main reasons being the constant stopping and starting for those advertisements…. Plus most People just don’t understand the rules, I tried to watch a supabowl once but I gave up at about 20 mins because I didn’t have a clue what was going on And I got fed up with all those breaks but the half time bit is the best thing about it for sure
