Jerry's Tennis Lesson from "The Big Mouth"

Комедия

Also from "The Big Mouth", Jerry Lewis as Gerald Clamson taking a tennis lesson from the lovely Bambi. Can you tell where Hank Azaria got Professor Frink's voice for "The Simpsons?

@@fabianpatrizio2865 All that you wrote and more, an interview with an actress told how on the first day on the set of a new movie he made it a point to meet every member of the crew from a simple stagehand, to the top and by days end he was calling each member by name, not a hay you, or hay lighting guy. he knew all their names which were over 100 people.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment should release this classic on DVD! The Big Mouth, Three on a Couch, Don't Raise the Bridge Lower the River, and Hook Line & Sinker were released by Columbia in the '60s, which is now owned by Sony, so it's up to Sony to release them on DVD. Way...Way Out and Hardly Working were released by 20th Century Fox, so it's up to 20th Century Fox to release them on DVD. I'm sure if Jerry had his way they would all be available on DVD already. Most of Jerry's movies were released by Paramount (The Family Jewels, The Pasty, Who's Minding the Store?, The Nutty Professor, etc.) and those ones are all released on DVD by Paramount.

Some of the early stuff with Dean Martin is quite funny and had audiences rolling in the aisles back in the day. However, after they split Dean got funnier and Jerry got embarrassingly unfunny. In the end his ego - as the great know-it-all film maker - got so bloated that he was unwatchable

willie otoole Dean was always funny (and that's not just my opinion, if you watch any interview of other entertainers who knew him they all say that he was hilarious even off-screen in private life) But his jokes and ad-libs were always sidelined in the act by Jerry's more manic slapstick humour.

The Big Mouth is my favorite of Jerry's late 60's comedies. A guilty pleasure for sure. But your right, Jerry's movies always had cringe-worthy moments that a more talented comic/filmmaker would have learned to temper (like Chaplin). How sadly ironic that in 1970 Dean Maritn starred in Airport, that year's biggest blockbuster, while Jerry's film career imploded.
