When he said "I'm not better - only lucky" and choked up, it really hit me.. He really believed that. I remember watching his show in the late 90's.. When he made that statement, I realized that no matter how ridiculous the guests were, he never talked down to them or treated them badly in any way. He was always kind no matter what.

He was a good human being who got flack for his show and for being a normal human being. He never acted like he was better than anybody. And when he did screw up, he owned it. We lost a great one.

He tries to say he did nothing on the show. That's ridiculous. Look at his "Final Thoughts". His material for those brought powerful illumination on the human condition. No wonder he won Emmys on the news for it. And... his presence brought the show class and dignity--for a show that was all about sleazy sensationalism.

Damn its 5am and I'm crying, rest in peace Jerry, you brought so many smiles and laughs.

How humble. How awesome goodbye. Jerry, Jerry, Jerry....

No matter how crazy the show got, the final thoughts at the end of each episode brought everything together.. felt kinda like a hug afterwards. Rest In Peace Jerry Springer

This guy brought so much joy, drama and craziness to this world it was amazing. I remember when I was 19 and got tickets to his show. Best thing that ever happened to me. He always had an amazing audience and his guests were straight up crazy which made it more fun. Loved this guy. He will always be remembered.

When Jerry mentioned his parents,he got VERY emotional about his father who was kinda still shaking off his Holocaust nightmare.In case we have to get away,Jerry mentions, meaning the Nazi regime may still hunt the family.

His point about being 'luckier' shows an incredible amount of empathy and awareness. Any of us could have been born into an awful situation.

He truly did care about people. Whatever anybody says about him he was genuine.

"Jerry, Jerry, Jerry" What an icon we lost. This was heartwarming to watch

Jerry has a beautiful personality and has a terrific sense of humor.He is a truly warm person and seems to be very fun to be around. My sincere respects to him and hugs, from Venezuela,South America.

I met jerry in the lobby of the show in Chicago we had a brief conversation he was such a wonderful man you will be missed but not forgotten, Enjoy Paradise 🌴🌺 until we meet again may God be with you 💟♾️

What I enjoyed about watching Jerry Springer is as goofy as my world is sometimes, there's always someone who's worse off. I don't cheat on my wife, I have had the same job for almost 25 years and I have a small group of friends that have been there forever. Take care of yourself, and each other. Jerry's words. RIP Jerry! You were always entertaining and will be sorely missed.

Most of the time I ignore the craziness, but I LOVE his final thoughts. He helped me without ever knowing me. You see, I was having an issue with my husband and was waiting to see change. But Jerry said that as long as he doesn't see that I'm truly willing to leave, he won't change. He was quite right. So, I got mad. Out of the blue. It got his attention lol. I asked him what made him think I was just gonna continue to stick around so he could mistreat me. It finally made him think. But I HATE that it has to go that far! WHY can't we be KIND to our loved ones to begin with! Make a mistake? Fix it! But don't give up.

His show was iconic. Most TV shows focus on LA or NY, but Jerry Springer put Middle America back on the map.

Dude i didn't just kinda sorta tear up a little bit, there's a clear stream of tears from both eyes for me... me personally, i don't give a FUCK what ANYONE says about Jerry Springer... this man changed the world, and beyond that, quite simply, was an exemplary human being, and man.
