My favorite part. True story. I was having a hard time once and I was crying when my 4 year old nephew came in. I poured it all out to him but he just kept saying "Arrrrrrrrhhh!!!" because he was trying to scare me. Kids have no idea at those ages, but when I dried my eyes he hugged me and said "Its ok. Arrrrrrrrh!!!!" I felt better.

When little man said "he won't tell" re: "f bomb," that was man code. Jerry showed his man code earlier with the "I won't tell" re: sleep after bedtime. Little dude understands man code. It's inherent.

They nailed the character because he talks/acts like a child. Not the usual bratty, annoying wise-beyond-their-years nonsense that Hollywood usually tries to pass off as a child in movies.

Per imdb trivia, this scene was unscripted. Director wanted it to be natural. Smart move. It made this so delightful.

Am I reading into this too much. Jerry talks about his Dad, Ray mentions going to the zoo after his Dad died and wanting to go together. Like, he's putting 2 and 2 together that the zoo will help Jerry cope with his emotions regarding his own Dad? And when Jerry and Dorothy break up, he tells her he'll take Ray to the zoo.

I finally got around to watching this recently. I thought the pace of this movie was fast and didn't develop the relationship of Jerry and Dorothy very well, however, that may have been intentional.

It was intentional, but for me, it also made it hard to believe they'd remain a couple after the credits rolled.

Helen Hunt's sister did a fabulous job in this movie.
