Jerry Lynn Williams - Running On Faith (audio only)

Jerry Lynn Williams wrote this well-known song for Eric Clapton's album "Journeyman" in 1989. But not so many people know that Jerry has his own version, it was recorded for solo album "Peacemaker" in 1998. Jerry sings, plays keyboards and rhytm guitar. Other musicians are:
Nicky Hopkins - piano
John Oates - acc guitar, backing vocals
Marty Grebb - B3 organ
Tom T-Bone Wolk - bass guitar
Mickey Curry - drums

Hello ever since I've herd this album I've loved it . The whole album is very good . I wore it out . Back in 1998 I worked at a duplication and manufacturing studio were we mastered and duplicated tapes and CDs For customers or clients who were mostly local musicians . We were located in Norman Oklahoma. Sending me Angels was one of my favorites on this tape. This was before we duplicated CDs. So I wore it out playing it over and over. Wished I had another one. These songs touched my soul. I was going threw a divorce at the time so it was comforting too me. Thanks for the love ❤️👍✌

In his autobiography, Clapton recalled meeting Williams for the first time after his record label, Warner Bros. Records, sent him demos of "Forever Man," "See What Love Can Do" and "Something's Happening" as suggestions for an upcoming album, which turned out to be Behind the Sun in 1985.[4][5] Clapton recalled that he "loved the way [Williams] sang."[4] Music author Marc Roberty claims that Williams' writing "seemed to suit Eric's vocals perfectly."[6] Williams was born in 1948 in Dallas, Texas.[2] He died at age 57 from kidney and liver failure on his yacht on November 25, 2005 in St. Maarten, after suffering from liver cancer.[1][7] At the time of his death he was insolvent due to a divorce settlement and a judgement related to litigation over the copyrights to several of the songs he wrote
