Well said, ThatGuy. Here are some more things to consider. I'm sick of all the immature punks and their stupid antics every time they do their jobs well. (ie. stop an opponents drive, score a touchdown, get a first down or intercept an opponents poorly thrown pass.) Those things are good, sometimes great. But the stupid antics detract from it. I am sick of the moniker "Americas Team." The teams ownership, management and players, the NFL and the media, all need to agree to stop using that term forevermore! I didn't like it even when the Cowboys were at their best. Finally, Its time to clean house at Valley Ranch and quit allowing folks to just keep hanging around year after year when they aren't excellent at their jobs.

All week long I had a feeling that this Packer team matched up well against the Cowboys. Whether it was the run game or the TE's vs Dallas' LBs, and the talent of Love and the Packer's young WRs, I thought the Pack matched up well. My only doubt was GB's defense and they played well enough. I remember McCarthy's playoff history in GB and felt that he would find a way to lose.

Dallas 12-5 last three years and blowing out teams that are not switched on. This has created a false expectation, Including from the Dallas staff and players, who think a 40-0 score is more impressive than a 20- 17 win. I like that Jerry wanted to give Green Bay much praise. It is very appropriate, they were too good. Green Bay expected to play a good team and Dallas didn't.

@@anthonyb8980 They were able to stop the run early - the problem came in situational defense they weren't able to get their defense off the field in 3rd and long where they thrived all season. A lot of that has to do with Jordan Love making huge strides as a quarterback and playcalling; the Cowboys defense has a way of playing defense on those 3rd downs and when the Packers had an answer for it there was zero counter punch and they were off balance the rest of the night. Even when they tried zone later in the game on third down the Packers were able to convert. There was no answer for Jordan Love and Matt LaFluer combo.

Packers gave Cowboys their first playoff loss, in 1966. Beat Don Meredith in Dallas in the Western Conference Championship. Then beat them the next year in Green Bay in the Ice Bowl for the NFL Championship. Packers have never lost in Jerry World. They even won a Super Bowl in Jerry World.

Maybe but I wouldn't bet on it. He tends to let people hang around year after year hoping they'll improve. He doesn't see that in many cases he could spend more to get the best people out there and still save money by not throwing money away on underperformers. When McCarthy was being considered for the head coaching job there was one other guy being considered. For the life of me I can't think of his name but thats who I was rooting for. He may have saved money hiring McCarthy but how much money did he throw away in the long run by not getting the best. Nobody else wanted McCarthy. He did get a super bowl but only because the previous coach had built a decent team with some depth on it, kinda like when Barry Switzer racked up a superbowl with the Cowboys. Switzer didn't do anything to get them there. He was just along for the ride.

Not a Dallas fan or hater and I do understand the team's fans are upset with MM and DQ but I view JJ as much responsible for such things as the stupid remark at the beginning of the week . It was unnecessary and a distraction for all the members of the coaching staff and the players .

Not a Cowboy fan, but I actually feel bad for the old man. For all the jokes people have about him, they have consistently fielded a talent roster. It will be interesting to see if he makes any major moves.

Packers came to win and win they did.. cowboys looked totally unprepared..spanked at home..green bay looked fantastic.

Too many superstars and too much hype destroys this team every year. Having expectations and hope is one thing but the hype is above and beyond any of the players capabilities.

I truly don't get why people act all shocked and surprised when the Cowgirls do the same exact thing they do EVERY SINGLE YEAR. You shouldn't expect people to be anything other than who they are, and Dallas and especially Prescott are simply good REGULAR SEASON players and a team who DON'T SHOW UP and CAN'T HANDLE the big moments.

I’ve been a cowboys fan since 1971, supported this team through good and bad times. If Jerry Jones doesn’t fire McCarthy and not resign Dak, then it’s obvious that he will never change. If it doesn’t change, breaks my heart but I can’t no longer support this team. I believe that a lot of people feel like me, swallow your stupid pride Jerry, clean house, new coach and Qb, 9 years and once again Dak chokes.

Dude, I have been a loyal 49ers fan since 1985. Yeah, we have been to the Superbowl a couple of times since 2012, but we haven't won since 94. And I can honestly tell you, that I don't care if we went 2-15 for the next 10 years. I will ALWAYS be a Loyal 49ers fan till the day I die! If you honestly love your team, you will never turn your back on them. Period. But hey, you do what ever you want to!

So don’t blame your d either. The media doing that know nothing. I would however blame your offense. For not getting it done against our terrible atrocious defense. We still want joe Barry fired even after this win, that’s how bad our d is, and your offense couldn’t move the needle. You need serious offense changes.

I would say responsibility starts with Jerry, he has had 26 years if failures, he's a bad GM who can't put a team together to win the SB to save his life, until he relinquishes control the Cowboys will continue to lose like this

Been saying for months the defense was prone to big lapses under Quinn and McCarthy. And delusional Owner Jones actually believes he is going to get a different result using the same group of coaches and players. San Francisco, Detroit, Buffalo, and now the Packers (who fired McCarthy) outplayed, out coached, and just wanted it more. Jerry Jones needs to sell the team to an ownership group that knows what they’re doing.
