and it gives me chills too! Am from Ukraine and i think for me it's bacuse of the ancient tune of Podolyanochka. Maybe both our cultures have something similar from ancient times - we kind of had connections throughout history - like Ivana Kupala and the Fern flower myth - it's shared in our cultures - maybe we adopted some traditions and it and it became our own - so now we both share it. And if it's music - listening such songs makes me happily nostalgic. I love it

Do you know why every Jerry song is so powerful? Because it's Ukrainian) No kidding! Ukraine is rich culturally, spiritually, connected with nature... You don't find such an artist just like that... It's Europe, it's Ukraine... Slavic nation. America had something similar when it had indigenous people. Jerry is an interesting woman. I love her singing and her voice... I love how she does it. She is natural and doesn't pretend. Women are wonderful. Each one is wonderful! Every woman is a Diva.🌸☀️ I got carried away 🫶✌️

The song is based on one of the most famous old Ukrainian folk songs - "Podolianochka" (transl. "Podolian woman/girl"). Podolia ("Podillia" in Ukrainian literally means the "land of hills") is one of the oldest Ukrainian lands between the Dniester and the Southern Bug rivers. All children in Ukraine know that song from the kindergarden. The folk song preserved many pagan traces before adopting christianity in X century....
