Funny thing about this is, if Mox gets what he ask for then he will no longer be AEW Champ. AEW is really putting on excellent stories and the matches really live up to expectations.

Moxely seriously has upped his promo game, he doesn't make us laugh or cry like other but surely knows how to sell matches. He takes his opponent, praises him puts him over like biggest challange to him till date and then sells the match saying he is tough to face anyone.

Mox and Jericho is an underrated rivalry that, because of its length, has grown into something I really appreciate. From gimmick filled cage matches to puro wrestling. Hope Mox retains but I can’t wait for the match.

It blows my mind that Jericho debuted in WCW not long after I started watching wrestling as a kid and here Iam entering my 30s and he’s one of the 🐐 and still winning belts and main eventing PPV’s‼️ 🤯👏🏽🤩

Man mox has the best promos. He doesn't bury anyone like a typical promo goes where they are just hyping themselves, calling themselves better than their opponents. But mox praises his opponent and then hypes the entire match surrounding him and his opponent. He first kinda roasted jericho and his gimmick and then went on to promote the match by bringing out lionheart Jericho. It's all the hype and he is doing damn well with aew championship. It feels even more prestigious than before cuz'he is competing every freaking week and his fire of a promo.

Jericho has talked about doing promos like that on his podcast. Starting out, he would cut down and make fun of his opponents. Someone told him that he should talk up his opponents, because if he down played them then loses, he looks worse than they did. Looks like Mox heard the same suggestion.

These promos are very old school. Did you ever watch Ric Flair promos from the mid 80's? The WHOLE interview, not just the WOOOO and the yelling, Ric Flair would most always give props of some kind to his opponent, but still bring his point around. Nick Aldis does this in NWA.

I love this Moxley promo ❤️ Just the way he says 'I hate this sports entertainer bullshit we're doing' is so honest and aggressive. The way he puts over Jericho makes you think "this will be a hell of a fight" but his vitriol and his spite makes you think "oh, he's gonna make Jericho BLEED".

Moxley once freestyled a promo on that podcast that was awkward with Austin and killed it. He was uncomfortable and killed it because he’s so naturally good at that part when he’s focused and wants to be.
