Can we bring back the podcast, I've learned so much from this

At the end, you mentioned that this podcast/video was mainly about basketball, but there was so much insight and wisdom dropped that could apply to work, school, life in general. Just being the best version of “you”. Thanks for making this and we look forward to more! Jlin, miss you in the NBA

As a Rockets fan/Houstonian during those years it's kinda trippy how much this interview brought back such clear memories. 1) The interviewer, Josh, somehow ended up playing in one of the only basketball tournaments our church hosted and he came in midway through the tourney when our guys were getting winded. I think I got word that "yo this is the trainer of Jeremy Lin" and I didn't believe it until I saw him carry us that game against the best team there, playing exactly like Jeremy Lin does lol. He always drove right, initiated contact, and finished with that hang in the air right hand finish, just like Jeremy. Wish he was around when the playoff games that day started lol 2) Jeremy Lin playing AMAZING defense most of that blazers series. Beverly would yell at dame & cheap shot him but dame would still get his. But Jeremy would be the one who actually got the stops (as much as you can on dame). And lowkey they couldnt solve him in the pick n roll with dwight, who dominated that series as well. 3) All this time I blamed Harden for the dame buzzer beater when it's always been mchale all along. To hear that it was Harden saying "lets switch" gives me closure because all this time I thought it was harden being boneheaded in not seeing dame get free so easily or seeing him get free and not switching. Guess it was parsons who was sticking to what coach said or whatever miscommunication came from that. I still can't watch that shot because of how easy the read SHOULD have been ...

Hey Jeremy, big fan of yours! I hope after you’re done playing basketball you would go into broadcasting or at least a podcast, you break the game down way better than anyone on TV! Would also love to hear more behind the scene stories since you were part of so many memorable NBA moments the past decade

I want J Lin to know something. When I go back and watch the highlights of Insanity from start to end that it makes me feel like I made it to the league. You inspire so many people. You’re so humble about everything. The linsanity highlights make my day better. I can’t stop smiling the entire time. Jordan was my hero too. I’m a 40 year old white guy who played ball till my legs gave out. And when I watch the Linsanity run I get so happy for him that it’s hard not to tear up. Just because he’s so relatable. I feel like I’m watching my little brother make it to the nba. It’s the greatest feeling ever seeing your run. As you get a few games in and start doing big dog sht- I jump up and down yelling. When you hit that 3 against my lakers- I cheer harder than I did when robert horry hit the game 7 35 footer. You inspire everyone that sees you. You’re a good dude, and i’m glad that you got some generational wealth etc. good for you bro! And the fact that you didn’t get another shot in the league is a complete conspiracy, it has to be. Even just from a marketing standpoint. You sell tickets, and bring ratings. Even if you were only just as good as some other dude- you’re Linsanity. I have social anxiety too, so I couldn’t deal with people coming up to me on the street. I play guitar and I try and hide behind my hair lol. It’s like I wanna feel the juice but I don’t want people to talk to me afterwards 😂 Anyway congrats on being a fn icon that inspires underdogs everywhere

Awesome interview

This is such a great story for Jeremy i've ever heard. Hopefully we'll have another episode regarding Jeremy's career no matter it's high school, college or nba and cba.

Thanks to you both for the courageous and honest insight into the highest levels of basketball. My son has his own lofty aspirations so this stuff is gold! Any chance we can get some insights into Jeremy's journey as a youth player around 10-14 years old in a future episode? Any "ah ha" moments, tips or turning points that may have helped raise his game to a new level would be amazing. Or even things looking back, Jeremy wishes he'd known or done differently as a youth to help set an even better foundation?

This was great! I would be down to listen to 10 more of these sessions. One thing I am curious about is the resources you go to to get deeper in terms of sports performance training and also the psychology side. I am listening to a Mano Watsa pod since Jeremy mentioned him. Great stuff! Thanks for the pod!

That last portion Jeremy talked about replacing your limiting beliefs and executing the new ones hit home for me . Life has been a lot of ups and downs the last few years and that is great wisdom for anyone trying to be a better human . Thanks for this episode , I enjoyed every minute of it !

yes, Jeremy said what all fans were going nuts over when Lillard hit that shot: why was Lin watching from the bench ? Well, the fans knew- we all knew McHale was biased against Lin. The crazy insight we now have is the coach didn't even bother to make it clear on the coverage - what a joke. Josh also made it clear what we all knew about Clutchfans- those fans in Houston were serious racists who could not stand to see an Asian-American baller. One last thing about McHale's bias - yes, it was racism. Recall he pulls Jeremy from the starting line up..... in Taiwan. He did that on purpose, not just to knock Jeremy but really to show all Asians who the boss is.

The NBA African American star players are one sided dominance. For Lin to show up the way he did, the players wanted nothing to do with him, and the owners and coaches also couldn't help but keep swapping him with other teams. An Asian player who steals the spotlight in NBA was bad news.

Wow! This was really great & super insightful about the NBA. Now, I understand why JLin was so good defensively & had a nose for the ball. And why he was so successful. It's really about more than basketball.

Some ideas for other discussions: 1: game day preparation / routines: from sleep, nutrition, hydration, dynamic warmups, on court warmups, all of it! 2: how did Jeremy develop his PnR game? Tips? 3: refining Jeremy’s shooting mechanics after Doc Scheppler, philosophy, changes, drills, etc. 4: other NBA players that helped mentor or develop Jeremy’s game, Steve Nash?

Huge fan and I’ve literally seen or listened to all his podcast and testimonies over the years, but this one was super interesting with the stories and advice. Just wonna say proud of you as a hooper but even more amazed at how God has used you through basketball to encourage others. Please do more of these. JLin graduated from Harved, so I think it's fair to say that he has the literacy and ability to read into those plays. But i highly doubt that any NBA players on court would actually read that dictionary size playbook and memorising the plays, never mind going in depth about tactics of defending specific player. I'll pay to hear them explain the playbook in details. If half of them can even read..lo

You'd be surprised. Lebron is known for knowing the other teams plays as they happen. You have to remember this is all these players have done from a very young age. They have accumulated hundreds if not thousands of mental models. Memorizing plays is and details is not a hard task for them.

@Awaken Training So I was referring specifically to the playbook and not a breakdown of one on a board or a piece of drawing. Lo I am pretty confident to say, 90% of the American sports pro players are not collage material. They graduate grades is 50% based on the sport that will be signing up afterwards. My comment. I am not saying that it's necessary for pro players to be a scholar nor great in tertiary. I am only making the point that JLin had that special advocate that most NBA players do not hold. Hence why his game on court had such uniqueness to his game.

What is Jeremys' basketball goals now? Is the nba still a possibility or has that door completely closed?

Being Asian. I can relate. There's always an Asian that works harder than you. 😂

2 reasons i think jlin isnt in NBA anymore. He spoke out on asian hate issues. He didnt become an elite 40% 3 point shooter.

If Jeremy lin was bored with kobes 2.5 hr shooting session that explains why lin was never a consistent 3 point shooter that would've secured his nba market value

Have you been hiding under a rock or something? J lin was literally top scoring PT guard at the time during first year of Linsanity. If you do wonder what happened to Lin, just look up you tube his interviews 3 years ago. He got rejected by his team mates because he took the spot light from star players, and with NBA been based on African American star players, to them J Lin needs to go. J lin wanted to lead, and none of those star players were about that life. Especially playing under the shadow of an Asian player. They will NEVER

@Robert De Pesci he broke the starter NBA record from the 70s. And he was scoring a better average than Camelo or Harden at the time. What do you want from the guy that's been discriminated against on court since junior high because of his ethnicity.
