Fun fact! He actually sang Zac Efrons part and was a part of the original workshop of the film!! Sooo there was a big chance of him being in a film and if it comes to Broadway then there’s a big chance he would be in it too!

okay so for the scene where hugh was singing and jeremy was standing there! a lot of people know this already but essentially there had to be a giant read/sing through of tgs in hopes of getting fox to pick it up. hugh had just gotten skin cancer removed from his nose so he had 80 stitches inside his nose and his doctor said "you're not allowed to sing." basically jeremy sang all of his music for him while hugh gesticulated/talked and all that jazz, but then hugh couldn't take just standing and sitting for all the numbers and he started singing from now on. it was a really moving moment lmao idk it was dope as fuck i appreciate all of them! the full video makes me cry because of how into it they all are and passionate just radiates from that song ugh their MINDS
