There seems to be skepticism amongst investors regarding the Federal Reserve's plan to continue increasing interest rates until inflation is stabilized. As for myself, I find myself at a crossroads, uncertain whether to liquidate my $150,000 stock portfolio. I'm seeking advice on the best strategy to capitalize on this current bear market.

The thing to me is, if you invest and have other income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends without selling. Which means you can pass that on to your kids which will give them a leg up in life. $52k dividends received in 2022.

I agree! That's why it is advisable that you have to invest while you still have a regular job or earning a regular income, and do it constantly. You still need to have something that will keep you going even if you're investing. Good financial planning and money allocation is the key.

Buffett is a corrupt mean spirit individual. He is a perma bull on the USA but most investors can’t do what he does. He buys shares large enough to put his people on the board of directors then cuts costs aggressively, fires a lot of people, pushes for stock buy back & of course he makes money but the customers & employees suffer. Look at companies he is a major owner & they are bunch of corrupt organizations cheating their customers like Wells Fargo Bank. By the way if you look at his history he did not make a lot of money until 1980 when money printing & deficit spending started in the USA. Buffet is a perma bull because the policies of the FED has benefited him personally.

We have no idea when a recession will start. It is a guess. There are assets that will continue to have strong earnings through a recession and will be predictably larger in the future. It isn't difficult for someone to know where to allocate capital if they have proficiently studied investing.

Perma bull would like to mock him. Mind you he has the track record of his method. Often you see in icy winter perma bull sped end in the ditches. This interviewer phrases his questions on perma bull perspective. Seemingly the problem with Jeremy Grantham is he exited too early. It is better to miss selling much higher than to end up in the ditches!
