Thats happened with Labour since the 60s, they've always bankrupted the country, in the 60's it was £1 billion of borrowing 70s 2.3 billion of borrowing Tony Blair made an unplayable debt for us all...Good job Labour 👏🏼

Why is he even being asked about how much it will cost?! It's been costed! The only manifestos that have yet to be costed because they go over budget are Conservative, UKIP and DUP. So it's obvious that Labour can afford it. This is just another bash attempt at Jeremy.

Are you for real, he should know the figures, they all should know their figures. Fully costed based on dodgy projections ie, the "nationalisation of services will pay for themselves" and requires the compensation at below market value to go unchallenged; furthermore all the borrowing (of both parties) relies extremely low interest rates that are likely to rise the more you borrow, hence why labour's plans are riskier than the Conservatives'. Raising corporation taxes wont raise what they claim, when the rate was last at 26%, the tax revenue was lower than currently. Once the rate goes below 20% the gains are negligible and possibly would result in losses, hence the Conservatives halting of lowering the rate. I'm politically centrist, but value economic reason as well as social democracy.

@chris jones I didn’t even vote for Labour let alone support Jeremy at that (or the successive) election; I was simply calling out the double standards of letting the Conservatives have expensive, wasteful and damagingly corrupt manifestos which are pure fiscal incompetence (exhibit the last few years proving my very point). Much of Corbyn’s (then) manifesto had its policies implemented in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with social and economic success; the idea that England is the exception to the rule where these policies can’t be implemented is nonsense.

People are quick to make excuses and jump to his defence saying nobody can be expected to remember everything. Fair point, but when your announcing a major policy, is it not reasonable to expect a party leader to have a vague idea? But more importantly, he was asked in the interview if he had the figures, to which he replied rather quickly “Yes I do!” and then admits later on that he didn’t. So basically he lied!

The incompetence here is not in a failure to provide a figure, but in his inability to handle the media. Why didn't he just say: "I'm very sorry, I don't have the exact figure. I know this policy has been properly costed, as all our policies have been, and I can tell you we will be raising the necessary funding for this policy through the tax system. I realise the public need to know what the figures are, so I will make sure my office contacts you later to provide the figure." And if the presenter pressed him, he could have said: "Look, our manifesto is quite detailed, as there's a lot we need to do, so you can't expect me to have every single figure, and I want to make sure we give you the right information, so let me get back to you, and if need be, I'm happy to come on here again or send the relevant member of my team to explain the figures further."

He really hasn't learnt from this. Same car crash yesterday in Andrew Neil's show.

Corby will solve the NHS problem if he get in. There simply won't be a NHS. Because They can't cope now Just wait till he lets millions more immigrants and their older family in it will be the last straw to break the camel's back. And don't think you can get rid of him in 5 years because by then he will have let so many muslims in Your vote will not be heard above them anymore .

..."and the man himself matters too" YES AND HE IS A WONDERFUL MAN, what point are they making here??? If the radio host had waited for a moment she would have been told the figure as he checked it. Honestly if this counts as a news story you would think there would be nothing happening in the world!!

I know right. He's not on University Challenge. Why does he have to be able to spout figures instantly all the time? There are so many different figures to remember. He's human. Give him a moment to make sure he's giving the correct answer.

You should have said, let me check my iPad I know because the information is here. I'm not a magician, and I'm not a replacement for Jesus.
