Jeopardy producers in 1992: we need a new captivating theme that reflects the modern times bongo player: say no more

One of the things I love about the "Bongo" theme is how the Drums work well with the "scrolling" animation of the lights of each letter of the "JEOPARDY!" Logo of the Grid Set, from left to right. The perfect match!

Yep those were the good old days. First u watch Wheel Of Fortune and after that’s over Jeopardy! comes on. you see a dark blue background & you see a giant ball that flys from the board up to your screen & shatters into bits and pieces and u hear a voice say “THIS IS JEOPARDY!” & the music starts going

Except there already was a version of Jeopardy that existed before Trebek's version. It aired in the 1960s and 70s with Art Fleming as the original host, then Jeopardy was cancelled and brought back in 84 with Trebek hosting it for 36 years until he died last November.

Same; I was much too young to remember the original theme. And I was more of a Wheel of Fortune watcher in my early childhood; it wasn't until I loved being a sponge for knowledge that I watched Jeopardy more.

"theme when Trebek was riding an Yoshi's motorcycle" The theme was used for the 1996-02 stage of Jeopardy. In 1996, they instead splited the 1992 theme and it was from Sony.

Now that's even great!

I would love Jeopardy to bring back this theme song to TV

Dude there's bester quality out there.

Little known fact: This "bongo remix" of the Jeopardy theme was actually made for an unaired episode featuring the popular video game character, Yoshi (from Super Mario World). Yoshi broke the record held by the previous champion, however, the episode was never aired as Yoshi was arrested for tax fraud shortly after it wrapped filming. But the producers liked the way the theme sounded with the bongos, so it remained unchanged until the theme was revamped in 1997.

From 1992-1996 WBMG-TV 42 Changed their theme music "The Visionary" by AirCraft Music Library and "Symphony" by Stephen Arnold, while WBRC-TV Channel 6 (then ABC) (becomes FOX 6 In 1996) had their theme music Shelly Palmer's Palmer News Package (PNP) going strong, and WVTM-TV Alabama's 13/NBC 13 changing their theme music "The Hour" by Gari Media Group, "The One and Only" by Gari Media Group, and Impact V.1 with the NBC signature after being purchased by NBC Owned Operated Station in 1996. The birth a BRAND NEW ABC Station in North Central Alabama (Birmingham/Tuscaloosa/Anniston-Gadsden) called "Alabama's ABC 33/40" debuted their theme music "News One V.1" by 615 Music. WGN-TV Channel 9 Chicago's Independent station debuted their theme music John Hegner's "Chicago's Very Own" until become a WB affiliate in 1995.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought of Yoshi, lol! Yoshi actually did appear on Jeopardy around the time the bongo theme was introduced, but he never reported his winnings to the IRS and was arrested for tax fraud. The episode was never aired but the bongo theme remained, and continued to be used until 1997.

The best thing to do is to use the 1984 theme (I posted the highest quality ever) and recreate the bongo track using your own bongos.

Daddy Yankee sampled the bongos from this theme to put in his stoopid ass music... lol
