Since they have all been going off to serve their mandatory military time over the last year and a half or so they have ventured into some solo work. All seven members of BTS are still very much parts of the group and they will be returning as a full group in late 2025.

71 year old BTS Army here. Jungkook or JK for short is the main vocalist for the Global phenomenon BTS. BTS was recently named as the "Most Streamed Group of All Time". His label announced this track as a subtle homage to MJ. It was his third Official solo release leading up to his record setting album "Golden" that currently has 3.4 billion streams. Jung Kook is known for his rare perfect pitch. He did a big feature song with Charlie Puth called "Left and Right" a couple of years ago. Charlie is known for his perfect pitch and commented on JK having it as well. None of Jung Kook's solo releases are Kpop. They are all English and all American productions and should not be considered Kpop for that reason. Even his dancers are famous American dancer/choreographers. Jungkook is the only Korean involved with creating his solo work. This song was written and produced by Grammy Award winning Producer of the Year Andrew Watt and a team of notable American/Canadian songwriters Jon Bellion and Ali Tamposi. It was co-written and produced by the Canadian producer/songwriter known as Cirkut. It was recorded at Watt's L.A. Studio and this video was filmed in L.A. Andrew Watt has produced albums for Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, the Rolling Stones new album and other notables. The Canadian producer Cirkut also has impressive credits such as producing for "The Weeknd" and others. Watt and Cirkut plus others from their team of songwriters were also involved with his first official solo release "Seven" Feat. Latto and also his album "Golden". "Seven" broke streaming records right out of the gate. It is the fastest song in Spotify history to reach 100 million streams and scored an "All Kill" debut on the Billboard charts: #1 Billboard Hot 100 #1 Billboard Global 200. #1 Billboard Global 200 excluding U.S. Both of his next two singles debuted in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 including this song. Loved your reaction. When this song and mv was released his agency released an official statement that this was a subtle homage to MJ. Jungkook is currently serving in the mandatory military service in South Korea along with the rest of the members.

Jungkook solo was amazing His first song Seven ft Latto breake all records he was nr 1 at Billboard 100, 200, Global, Spotify his song Seven have 5,2 biljon stream on spotify and his Album Golden have 3 bilj streams on Spotify he also got 3 guiness awards, even today he wins awards. in 2023 all members off Bts did solo songs or Album beacuse the had to so mandatory military service. 2 Members come out this year Jin 12 june and J-Hope in October and the rest 5 members are out in 2025

Yeah I can't believe I never made this connection with Regulate before, but what a cool thing to line up considering their history with Warren G!

I've been digging this song for months and months, but not until you said it did I realize a bit of it reminds me of Regulators. Very different songs and uses of the melody, but that was crazy, lol

The first time I heard this song start, it reminded me of MJ's Rock With You from the Off the Wall album. Of course, JK and the other members love Michael. This was an homage to him.

Way back in 2014, BTS did a reality show with Coolio and Warren G. They all had to write lyrics to Regulators as a challenge 😂 full circle Also, this MV is an homage to Romeo+Juliet from Baz Luhrmann (who complimented the MV) while the song and choreography are obviously an MJ homage (not the first one BTS has done, they have done many homages to him).

The sample you were trying to figure out is Warren G's song, Regulate from the 90's,. When they started out a decade ago they met Warren G and he taught them about Hip Hop which was cool of him. This is a nod to a lot of people but he is one of them.
