So calming You are gifted

Came up with a story. There's this guy, somewhere in his late 20s. He wanted to listen to some music, it was pouring outside of the apartment, he's cozy in bed, why not? He was feeling a little nostalgic, he remembered this old playlist he had in his old account. It had been a while since he had logged out of that account, might as well revive it back. And so as he did, he was listening to music in shuffle, the odd comfort, goosebumps, warm cozy feeling of hearing back these songs he used to listen 24/7. As he was laying down, this song came up. This specific song, hit him the most. Those moments where you have this really theatrical cinematic moment where the protagonist stops in their tracks as they were hit with memories. This song shaped his life in some way. The day he listened to this was when he was struggling in College. He was just a stressed out guy, heading to the town to get his mind off of things. He bought things in the convenient store. One teen kid though, about a few years younger than him, was buying music tapes and bubblegums. The kid could only afford the tapes, not enough with bubblegums. The guy felt like its something he needed to do, he payed for it for the kid. Hearing the kid saying thank you but could only hear a "Thank- " before it cuts off as he walked out of that store. He didn't exactly knew why he did that, he guess he shouldn't let his mood ruin someone's day. He had a bad day. So bad that he didn't felt the need to even get shelter when it was pouring really heavily there, he was soaked. He inhaled, shutting his eyes, feeling the rain, embracing how tired he is with his life, embracing the exhaustion. As he exhales, the rain stops, but he could still hear raindrops. Opening his eyes, an umbrella above his head. Turned his head down to see the same kid holding their umbrella for him. "Hold it." the kid says like its urgent, without hesitation the guy held it for the kid. They were taking something out of their pocket, pulling out something and putting it inside the guy's coat pocket, then stormed off without saying anything. "Hey wait-" kid ran like their life depended on it. He checked his pocket, it was 4 bubblegums, 1 music tape, and 5 dollar change. He listened to the tape, this song played. He ate the bubblegums, blueberry flavoured specifically. Holding the umbrella as he walks at the side of the road. He was left with an umbrella, bubblegums, a calming music tape and a change. It may not be something of a big deal but somehow that made his day. He smiled softly as he continues to walk listening to this tape. Listening to this on his bed, remembering this core memory of his, reminds him again that a bad day is never permanent, it'll always pass. He remembers again how he'll think about of why he decided to pay the kid's stuff, he still never knew, that's just maybe people being people, life may not be much but it's a soothing feeling doing something small. ••••Been so long since I've wrote stories under these but i forgot how much fun it is, i haven't written in so long so my writing is really dried out :)
