JT is spreading false information. The contestant chose the song themselves. They write a list with songs they want to perform during the whole show and they have some favorites they chose together with their mentor, but the contestants have the final say. She said in the intro before she went on stage why she chose the song and it was because she loves it and its about living in the present which she can relate to. She said she has had the chance to rehearse the song a while and that the version is her own.

@@In_my_own_mind I love the fact that the contestants get to choose their own songs. In so many other countries the mentor picks the songs and the contestants have no say so.This is really nice cause it makes is so personal.
