Being a Jewish man I was unaware until it was brought to my attention that Jewish women often get overlooked when casting Jewish characters in films and TV (an infamous example would be the recent Felicity Jones being cast to play Ruth Bader Ginsberg in a bio picture), because “Hollywood” does not find traditional Jewish features attractive on women. Jenny is one of a billion examples as to why that kind of thinking is total bullshit. She is beautiful and also very clearly Jewish and I hope she opens minds of film executives as to how a leading lady can look.

I’ve always been a Jenny stan but I saw her stand-up a few years ago and I was blown away. Tears streaming down my face from laughter. Her delivery, her way with words, her kindness…I’m a forever fan.

Jenny Slate is one of the most naturally funny people alive. How is she not in everything?

Ageee! Jenny Slate not a lead in a tv show or at least part of a lead cast seems criminally wrong to me. Deserves jail time truly.

I had a crush on her when she was on SNL, and she looks even more beautiful today. I know he knows her, but Seth has a way with connecting with the people he talks to.

When our first came along, I fell asleep standing up on several occasions. Like at least 3. I feel ya, lady.

My first I called my little Caribou Who later became known at my BOO and BOO BOO and by 3 my little meanie butt. She n26 now and having her third baby and her Second is my little Lili bug who is also a lot like my oldest with a worse temper.

Your stuff will get dusty and grimy quicker! I have open shelves and live alone so really only wash and use two drinking glasses and the other ones get a layer of grime after a week of just sitting there. They do look cute though haha

Jenny Slate and Anna Kendrick are the most busiest, talented,versatile and greatest actress of this generation but they are underrated actress . They deserves more than Oscar. They need fame, popularity and recognition for busy doing several films like 7 - 11 films a year in which 70% ( majority) are masterpieces and 30% ( minority) are dumb but actors like Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt have gained recognition.

@@aminavGM Hard for me to imagine the majestic Nina Simone as a "little old lady." My vote is Ella Fitzgerald. I saw her perform in the latter '80s after one of her major hospitalizations, and she had become, indeed, a little old lady. But she died in '96, when Jenny would've been only 14. Not impossible for Jenny to have met her, but it does make me question my own guess..... Another commenter's suggestion of Blossom Dearie sounds more likely.
