I was at age of 2 going to be three when she died. I didn't know about her until I first watched the movie after it had released in 97. I am still 😥 that she's gone. All because of that Yolanda Saldivar😡

Im 20 it really sad cause i played her song "dreaming of you" and i keep repeating on it since then at the age 9, and started watching her moments, journey compilations,. I still keep dreaming on her. No wonder why jlo, beyonce, and other singer admire her the most. ❤️ Rest in peace beautiful selena ❤️❤️🥺

Selena was a beautiful talented women who was gone so soon. From this day I will always love her music, I just like to say I'm 100% Italian, and that I was 10 yrs old that I was brought up watching telemundo with my mom, so I like to thank my mom for letting me learn the Spanish culture of music. Jennifer Lopez, played an awesome role of selena, they look like twin sisters. Selena and Jennifer Lopez, and the Quintanilla family are all my inspiration. LULUU LUFFYY; What are you talking about? JLo is only 48 now. SELENA would've been about 45 or 46. Not that.much difference in age. Besides what difference does it makes? JLo is an exceptional woman who has worked her butt off just as much as SELENA, Gloria, Thalia, or Shakira has. All the ladies on this list are phenomenal. They all deserve our gratitutude and respect. I feel like some try to get angry and criticize JLo bc they're distraught at what happened to SELENA. JLo earned every bit of what she has accomplished. The only person to blame for what happened to SELENA is the monster that tragically took her life and robbed us of enjoying the future of her wonderful gifts. Jay Lo, was incredible as Selena. She made people fall in love with Selena. I think it was a powerful movie and a power portrayal of her family the ups and downs of family life especially in the entertainment business. The guy who played her father well-known Latino actor, I forget his name now but he was fantastic. The movie really portrayed how fathers are so important to daughters especially in that type of situation where she was groomed by her dad to be a singer and he really Believed in her which was so so important. It was emotional me Im sure for many many people also . Jay Lo hit a grand slam with her portrayal !

I did not know about Selena till few years ago. I was a kid when she died and I don't even know how well known she was in Europe at that time. But I am a major fan of latin music and since I started watching telenovelas I started slowly listening to the music and so I found few years ago some Selena songs. And when I googled her and found out that she died so young I was sad. It made me really emotional. And I was also wondering what would the music industry look like if she was alive. Too bad she isn't. Such a beautiful person and singer. I really wished we could have hear more of her. But it is great how people still love her and even people like me who find out late about her start to love her. You can tell that those people even after being gone are true legends.

Even babies that are not born will come and know about Selena ! She's just one in a million, her memories her songs will live on long in the hearts of men ..

I agree with you! However, there are so many people that say they loved Selena, but they are nasty for constantly putting down JLo. Selena was such a beautiful person and would never make disparaging comments of JLo to elevate herself like her fans like to do. If her fans really loved her like they say they do, they would take after her, and model her true spirit of love and humility. Selena was such a good hearted person, I'm sure that she would be proud of JLo's performance to her.

That was hard to watch. She was barely holding it together talking about Selena. So loving and yet so painful.

I just wish she was still here..I miss her so much.
