Jennifer did this for all of us who love Sister Act 2! I always wanted to know more about Tanya, but lost track of her career. So glad to reconnect with this talent and what she’s been up to!

I remember how EVERY SANGER could not stop talking about this movie, especially TANYA BLONT and LAURYN for the first time ever. Her POWER VOCAL was an anchor...then Jennifer came along and made the reference. I love how JH acknowledged her. Beautiful.

I still cry when I hear that rendition of His Eyes in on the Sparrow… Her album was amazing as well.. Her and Lauren were so young. I love it when this generation learns about our vocal treasures from when we were younger and the contrast of real singing lol

I love it when they interview people from our favorite cultural movies. These are questions I myself would ask.

We first saw The War and Treaty several years ago in a field. Actually was in a friends backyard during a small music festival that they were putting on at their property. Kind of a yoga music art festival. So it was a sunny Sunday after most everybody else had left and we sat on the grass in front of a small stage and listened to these two sing. It was absolutely mesmerizing and all the way home all we could say was oh my gosh those people are going to be famous. Let’s remember that we saw them way back when. And they really did sing to a field of 25 people as if they were at Carnegie Hall. It was amazing.

Yes. Her name is Tonya Blount. She had a solo career in the 90s. I didn’t realize this was her.

Lauryn was a professional actress before she was a recording artist. The talent was always there, but she needed a lot of polish first.

Look at God. Just show God had a purpose for where he puts u even when u don't understand.
