Last year I was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain cancer. My friend/nephew Quan M Frank always told me to be grateful, there's always someone that's worse off than you. I used to send him gospel songs. I wished I had sent him this before he committed suicide. Thank you Jennifer Hudson, and tell George Huff I said hello..

These people are not in a competition. They are singing a beautiful gospel song. If you are only trying to listen for the one who sings it better, than you are really missing out on the spiritual blessing that this song gives.

Without Jennifer Hudson I would have never heard this song. This song has reminded me to be grateful in my worst of times. There are a lot of people on here comparing artists, but what they don't realize is that different versions touches people differently. So what might be for you might not be for me. That's why God's talent stretches far and wide.

Because of your comment, I just went to hear/view Tamar’s rendition. Appreciate the tip! I *very much prefer* this rendition here. It sounds so much more soulful to me, and legitimately touched my soul from the start. The entire composition is outstanding here, let alone the vocals. And of course The Legendary Roots Crew is incomparable. I *LOVE and live* for the fact that we have so much choice, so much FREEdom, so much variety in Life. There are comments saying this person and that person song it better. In the Bible the book of Acts says: "When the Holy Ghost has come upon you, you shall receive power." Regardless who song it, if they song it to the glory of God, and for God, and not for the glory of the audience, nor to the audience, then the power of God is in them and with them. I don't know it they are singing to God's glory or entertaining the audience. But I know that they also sing secular music. So if I were to go by the fruit they bear, as the Bible says we should do in Matthew 7:16, well you do the math. Psalm 104:33 "I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being."

What is not too like about being grateful, at times people mistake confidence for being self centered but some of Gods people just want to magnify him and Give God the glory because we remember the times when God was our only help and strength. The vocal arrangement is beautiful But the message is most clear, just Be grateful, someone is worse off than you. Praise God in every season!

Thanks to ALL who see the bigger picture!!!! Please allow God to use her as He would have it...This particular singer may be used to bring the lost back to Him. I pray He continues to use her. He used a party (in college) to bring me to Him (I was pissy drunk and high). I didn't grow up in the church, however, my life with Christ has been AMAZING! Please don't be like the parable Jesus talked about with the good samaritan...all the religious and "I think I'm better" passed the man, but the samaritan man took care of him. Sing Jennifer!
