Yes, this! A year ago, I had no idea that JW was riddled with child abuse. Having no contact with the Witnesses myself, had I not have an interest in cults in general, I'd never have heard of it. This information needs to reach a wider audience of those like me who were never JWs.

Sparkle Canada Yes, that would be great. My children were molested by my ex and he was a ministerial servant. I left him the very moment the kids told me about it and I started driving down the freeway for a few hours then called a helpline. They told me the steps I needed to take to protect my children. We ended up staying at a motel for a few months. I went to the elders and omg. They wanted me to protect the organization!!!!! What saved us was going to authorities first. My biggest fight was the organization, they had my children put in a foster home and put me in jail and had 10 witness families in line waiting to adopt my children. Strangers “worldly people” bailed me out and got me a district attorney. Very long story short, I was vindicated, got legal custody of my children. Those elders were after me, but could not knock me down. The abuser still kept all privileges in his congregation, never disfellowshipped, even after admitting to multiple affairs. The 2 witness rule protected him entirely!!!!!

As an elder at 22 years of age, I had no business counseling or questioning publishers in the congregation. I was involved in a lot of committee meetings at this age, but I really had no business being there. A total lack of life experience.

The 2 witness rule is quoting Jesus from Scripture. Yet Geoffrey Jackson gets on the stand and says "It would be easier for everyone involved if mandatory reporting was the law." Excuse me!!? "Satan's political system", the Superior Authorities takes precedence over Jesus instruction to his congregations? That's messed up. Then Geoffrey Jackson haughtily claims the Bible is their "Constitution". The Bible is not supposed to be the Constitution for an international printing company.

JT the sister said something that reminded me of a situation I had with my field service group elder! I was living for many years in NC and moved back home (PR) so because I leaved in 1969, I'm not familiar with the area and its activities, well we were supposed to go preaching in a very active gang activity area, where they had killed few people already! My family, who are not JWs and knows the area, told me that I shouldn't be going there, because I could get caught in a cross fire! Well I told a sister and said to her that I was afraid of that, she told the elder and next thing I was call to talk to him! He even asked me if was felling I was better than the people living there? Etc etc.... can you believe that?

Thank you for bringing this evil to light. Both of my daughters were molested by Jehovah's Witness and the elders instead of helping tell my ex-wife they needed two eyewitnesses to the deed.

This BS gets me so upset. I can't believe I was apart of this organization. They are completely in denial. I applaud the Royal Commission of Astraulia for there work.

For those out there affected by abusers out there, (it might hurt at first) SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP, by you being in fear of what happened is only giving the criminal more power, take back your power, be happy, be whole and complete!

I remember 21 years ago, the JW child abuse cases were beginning to leak out on a cable TV particularly on a channel known as World Link TV. I was shocked to know that the channel was going to air a documentary of a JW person who experienced child abuse in that religion. I was shock because I knew that pedophilia was well known in some churches especially in the Catholic Churches but not Jehovah Witnesses. So I tried to see that documentary on TV because I found it quite interesting but I missed it. Now we have social media and the JW child abuse cases is exposed by many ex-JW. Thank God we are in the age of information. We should had social media a long time ago. Before my JW died, her and her husband told me that they do not do social media. Now, I know why.

I did not know WT has an official child watch program!

If they do, they don't use it properly. In truth, I think it's a prop. A paper tiger; designed to be able to tell the public and court that they have such a thing in place to *PROTECT* kids. Particularly when the M. O. of the elders is to *PROTECT* the *ORGANIZATION* . Interestingly, as per what JT said , the WT lawyers up, but the family of the abused child is told (in veiled terms) that "Sure, you can go to the police. It's your right. *BUT* you could get disfellowshipped if your actions bring disrepute on *JEHOVAH'S ORGANIZATION!"*

when I was 12 and walking home from school one day an "elder" offered me a ride home. I accepted. he was in his 60s if he was a day. he reached over and put his hand on my upper thigh almost between my legs. I froze. I was prepared to jump out. he removed his hand and took me home. I never said a word. my mother would have probably blamed me she. thought the jw were the end all. I was 6 when she started studying. my mother was the perfect victim for them. isolated home all the time. a farm wife. hard working but not very educated. older woman.

Deuteronomy 22: 25 “But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged, and the man forces her and lies with her, *then only the man who lies with her shall die* . 26 “But you shall do nothing to the girl; *there is no sin in the girl worthy of death* , for *just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case* . 27 “When he found her in the field, the engaged girl cried out, but there was no one to save her. The point here is that victims should not be held accountable for an attackers actions. And *there is no two witness rule in this scripture* , but *the scripture clearly says put only the man to death* . Deuteronomy 22:25 is quoted. *So, please don't blame Jehovah for what these men did.* The scripture is clear that Jehovah does not agree with rape or victims being punished. I hope this helps.

A brother in my grandmother congregation used to molest me when he comes to visit her his son was an elder and he was in good standing in the congregation I was 10 years old I never told my grandmother because I felt she wouldn't believe me

30 years ago, I told my JW neighbor's son not to talk to his niece so bad. Strangely, he snapped. He grabbed me and strung me up by both of my arms like a piece of chicken. And he threw and kicked me out of the basement. In the process, I grabbed on to a water pipe that was connected to the kitchen sink from the basement. As he pulled me up the stairs, his youngest sister did not do anything about it. She just told me just to let go of the pipe. As he pulled me up the stairs, he was pulling on one of my breasts. I went home crying telling my mother. I was totally embarrass. My mom told me to stay away from the witnesses house. We did not tell my neighbor about what her son did. We did not want to start anything or any conflict. I kept this to myself for years. Years later, my neighbor's son was accused of pedophilia when he got married and had a daughter. He was reported but I do not know to whom.

Crazy! Think about it ... anyone else committing "sexual immorality" gets the boot. Stop hiding filthy cups just because of make believe rank.They need to get some regard for people, human beings. If you have lawyers, orchestras, and such ... you can have some properly trained counselors too. It should be understood that children are like potato chips to a molester, they can't have just one.

Revelation 7 After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes; and there were palm branches in their hands. 10 And they keep shouting with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation we owe to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.(remember when Jesus transfigured himself on the mountain he was in a "white robe"(we know a lot of Revelation is symbolic) Revelation 7:14 These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and THEY HAVE WASHED THEIR ROBES and MADE THEM WHITE in the blood of the Lamb(KEEP THIS SCRIPTURE IN MIND) Revelation 21:10 So he carried me away in the power of the spirit to a great and lofty mountain, and he showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God...It had a great and lofty wall and had 12 gates with 12 angels at the gates, and on the gates were inscribed the names of the 12 tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.(notice where the city and the gates are, they are in heaven, actually earth is just supposed to be God's garden, the city is in heaven) Revelation 22:14 Happy are those who wash their robes, so that they may have authority to go to the trees of life and that they may gain entrance into the city through its gates..( notice Who gains access to the city (heaven) and it's gates(the entrance to heaven), THOSE WHO WASHED THEIR ROBES.(Re 7:14) We know those who did that came out of the great tribulation. During one of the drama movies in the assembly(Summer of 2020 Friday session) she pointed out to her student(Jade, Like Jaded) that there is no hunger, death, or pain in heaven...but we know Jesus actually hungered, felt pain and could be killed on Earth and he was perfect flesh and blood, so in order for the people on the Earth to be able to not hunger or die we would have to obtain spiritual bodies because only in heaven do they not hunger die or feel pain... Jesus was are roadmap, he was born, he was baptized, he died, but then he came back as spiritual creature and made himself known or let himself be seen to those he wanted... because also remember Jesus says in the resurrection we are as Angels (Angels are spiritual creatures) Matthew 22 In reply Jesus said to them: “You are mistaken, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God; 30 for in the resurrection neither do men marry nor are women given in marriage, but they are as angels in heaven Regarding the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, who said: 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob’? He is the God, not of the dead, but of the living( You know Jesus can't lie and faithful servants of Jehovah and followers of Jesus Christ are supposed to be resurrected if we die, just as Jesus came back as the Angels are(in the spiritual form) after he was put to death, all baptized Christians will come back as the Angels are and if they are not baptized they'll be resurrected during the 1000 years so they can be baptized so they can then get that spiritual body to be as the angels... because the Bible also says in Revelation that not everybody's gets resurrected during a thousand years, there are some that come to life after the thousand years where ended Revelation 20 And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years. 5 (THE REST OF THE DEAD DID NOT COME TO LIFE UNTIL THE 1,000 YEARS WERE ENDED.) Matthew 5:8 Happy are the pure in heart, since they will see God.(Jesus already told us servants of Jehovah will actually see God and Jesus can't lie just like Jehovah can't tell a lie and the Bible is God's word) ❤️❤️Galatians 5 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITH, 23 MILDNESS, SELF-CONTROL. And you let him leave your house in one piece- what kind of religion is that AND what kind of STUPID ASS parent are you to let these people dictate to you and put your child in that kind of danger. Any religion that separates you from family and lived ones or causes you to work against them adversely, inhumanely, unlovingly, should be OUTLAWED AND BANNED AS A CULT!!!!

That was her fault for going for it. I would've went to jail for getting him and the other 2 witnesses and she went 12 years...

When a child claims he or she was molested or penetrated, there are no more responsible and qualified people than Christian elders to determine the veracity of the allegation. Yes we require two witnesses. But this is scriptural, and as leaders of the congregation it is impossible for us to deviate from scriptural counsel in good conscience. What would really make us hypocrites is if we held all of the brothers and sisters in the Kingdom Hall to scriptural standards, but then turned around and acted by our own rules in specific instances. Would that not make us into stumbling blocks? Everyone in the congregation trusts us to make proper judgments regarding allegations. Jehovah God Himself has entrusted us with this congregational authority. We are the ones who can best determine what happened and what didn't happen because we actually know the parties involved and we can investigate more efficiently than an outside party. Yes, children lie. If this is news to you, then you don't know squat about children. Maybe puppies or kittens are more your level of expertise. Either way, leave the adjudication of child molestation to us. You would be very fortunate indeed to have a body of elders like us handle the case of your own child's claim of molestation. Armageddon will take care of things.

Brother Keith Lawson You know and I know that this is a bunch of BS!!! I wish my child would come to me and tell me he was sexually abused by one of ya'll. You'll think dirty Harry came to the Kingdom Hall cause I'm coming with Black Suzy (my 9 mm). I guarantee once a gun is pointed between his eyes he'll tell the truth bar none. I won't need a meeting in the back room. You are talking about Armageddon, yours is already here cause of all the lawsuits going on.

Dyshonda Fowler As an elder, I have personally handled many instances, over the years, of allegations of child molestation within the congregation. We elders do a thorough investigation of the allegations, and interview the appropriate parties. Of the dozens of cases involving sexual misconduct with a child, do you know how many times we concluded that the allegation was true, that molestation had actually occurred? ZERO. That's right. We successfully dismissed every single one of the allegations of child abuse within our own congregation. The reason we were able to do this is because it was clear that the child was lying, or there was some kind of misunderstanding of intentions which resulted in the child being confused about whatever level of touching had occurred. No brother or sister in our congregation ever was disfellowshipped or reproved for child abuse. And that's the reality: Allegations and lies flow freely but the cleanness of the congregation will stand no lies. And I am proud of this.

You're full of it! I would not even think about going to the elders if this was my child. I'm going to the authorities. It might not happen in your congregation, but it's happening in many others. Get your head out of the quicksand!

So what? It is happening in other congregations, ok? It happened in Australia. When you mention this to a JW, they think you're lying or you're listening to liars. There is a sister in my state who is in prison for her mess. She confessed to it. Elders in the congregation are not qualified to handle this and you know it. There are licensed professionals who are qualified for this.

This BS gets me so upset. I can't believe I was apart of this organization. They are completely in denial. I applaud the Royal Commission of Astraulia for there work.
