That is so true. My wife had a weekend affair, and she confesses to the brothers . They tell me to take her back and forgive her. I took her back and learned what really happened and said no way I'm divorcing you. The 'brothers' asked me if I'd had sex with her, and I said yes. Then they told me I couldn't divorce her. I said watch me.

@realmercy oh yes I remember the same thing happened to me. My ex cheated on me each time he went out of town to visit his family. He would return home we would have ‘intimacy time’ then he would tell me about his transgressions. This happened multiple times and the elders would tell me that I couldn’t divorce him because we had ‘intimacy time and it’s like I forgave him..WTH!!! SMDH!!

@AwakenTruths and I forgot to say, after I divorced her, they disfellowshipped me. The charge was that I had abandoned my family! I had to eat crow for a year and just go back to a different KH for almost a year, so my parents could talk to me. Finally, after I was reinstated, I slowly faded 😀. I was about 34 when I was reinstated. I am 72 years young now. So you can see, things have not changed much with the JWs.

I remember my mom always trying to force me to just hang out with the youth in the hall. What she failed to realize is that the witness kids were screwing left and right and hiding it! Lol When I was abou5 16 we were attending a summer convention. This old @ss brother kept moving close to where we were sitting. During a break he move into the seat next to me. I literally moved to another row. When were leaving I said something to my mom. She said yea that is Brother so-in -so he wants to get to know you. He was at least 30. I said you won't allow me to date at all but you want me to get to know him?!?! Yuck. My dad was never baptized although he supported my mom. I went home and told him. He wasn't having it. I asked my mom if she thought she was going to arrange a marriage for me?😂😂 There were so many young people my age forced to get married because they were having sex. They were so sad! By that age I had already checked out. I knew this wasnt for me.. I swear this video reminded me of my crzay teenage years in this organization. 😂😂

LOL. SO true. I remember dating years ago and not just people micromanagement, but talk about a gossip house. It was like the more local needs that were given about "Mind your own business" the harder nosey people wanted to stick theirs in my business. Here was another rule during the start of covid-19. We were specifically given instructions not to be "ALONE ON ZOOM" with each other. Thank you so much for speaking on this topic and for being so down to earth, transparent, and informative and prepared with the organization’s own material. I grew up as a JW and was disfellowshipped since the age of 19 because of this very topic and I never looked back due to waking up along the way of living outside of the organization. Since then life has been so much more fulfilling and makes so much more sense now that I was able to actually LIVE LIFE outside of the unscriptural rules & restrictions created by the organization. Sending lots of love, support and continued blessings to both of you!

I have a 23 years old friend that is jw. We met at high school and she used goes to parties with me and hangout after school because her mother wasnt in America to control her. But one day she said that she was disciplined for sleeping with someone and I was confused about that but I didn’t ask too many questions. After months not seeing her bc of the coughing season she told me she is trying to get into a relationship but guys never approach her bc she wasn’t spiritually mature to marry and people at her hall used to kinda say the same thing. So I started going to the meeting with her and I became her study until one black Jamaican lady started telling her some weird stuff about her going back to her country because of her spirituality. This was affecting her and also just bc she overstayed her visa and mind you coming into the United States it’s difficult to and stay here illegally alone and bc of that she doesn’t participate anymore in nothing at her congregation so is not easy for her. I told her to leave that congregation and move on with her life but she’s still there and keeps going to the meetings. I’m try to support her bc she’s really a good friend. I feel bad how she’s treated in that place.

I started going to social gatherings and others events. There was this very awkward JW... apparently he liked me amd gifted me an Elizabeth Taylor perfume...even back in the day...that perfume was for an older woman. This brother was even planning a honeymoon in Aruba..yet he never even told me he liked me or asked me on a date.....i know im sounding shallow but dude had hair growing on top of his nose ... Has a PIMO I find it hard to find a suitable mate within especially prior to going PIMO, and JW never tell you the whole story this is why champion is not always a good thing you literally have to ask questions about the person yourself to get to know them, and financially they are not the best you will suffer for the most part because they either do not believe in financial growth and do not keep jobs most times.

Agree with the porn topic. My nephew (13) was watching porn and my ministerial servant father knew about it and hid it. When I took the phone from him my father would give it back to him. In 2019, it was a Saturday morning, we were going to the meeting, my nephew was dressed and watching porn (I knew because he would hide the phone once someone was passing by.) After the meeting, we got home he went into the washroom. We realized he was not coming out so we knocked the door, no response. When we got it opened he was on the floor his meeting clothes still on, pants down and a porn flick going on on the phone. He died right there on the bathroom floor watching porn, he had sudden cardiac arrest. When the cops came they obviously asked what he was doing and how we found him, I told them, they asked for the phone. When I opened the phone the history was erased... yes my Ministerial Servant father erased the history on the phone in less than 10 minutes with all the crazy emotions of finding a child unresponsive. His first thought was to walk past the child to get the phone and go erase it. I lost a lot of respect for my father after that. The cops took the phone and my father didn't even know the cops can get into the phone...we made sure and tell him they can find anything even what you erased 😅 My father was always on MY case for even talking to a boy. Earlier this year he tried to bring up the fact that I liked a boy 30 years ago, I called him out on his bullshit. I'm not tolerating his crap anymore. My nephew dying is what woke me up. My immediate family is out of this cult. Thank goodness.

When I was a regular pioneer I was always told that I must marry a spiritual man that is a elder, Ministerial Servant, pioneer, Beth elite etc. If you don’t then it’s almost like frowned upon. Like when you tell someone you are dating they will ask what he does in his congregation. Back then I was still “new” in the truth and was so naive back then so I married a man who was a ministerial Servant, regular pioneer and he always helped on some bethel projects all because he was “spirtual” he was abusive. He hit me 5 days after we got married. He also almost k!lled us one time when he was driving and slapped me and took the car off the road he told me he was going to ki!! Me!! Every time he done things like this I was told to forgive him and keep “enduring” because I don’t have grounds for a divorce. I finally got the urge to leave him and didn’t care what the congregation thought.

And even when we were at a party and I had my ring on my hand the friend sat between us. The only time we had to ourselves was on the phone. Sad but I really didn’t get a chance to know my husband until we got married. But like you mentioned you really didn’t get to know them. They was bragging he was so spiritual but later as we were married he stop going to the meeting and didn’t want nothing to do with the religion and he passed away in 2005 his sisters didn’t even put me and my son name on the obituary they only put his son and my coworker made me a obituary and I named all of them they didn’t tell me about the funeral because I was disfellowshipped but that was my husband they got mad because the funeral home told me. Just some things I have to go through.

Hi, you made me laugh so much! I can’t believe up to this day the JW girls would twist and think that a brother is interested in her just because if a small gesture from a JW boy!! So things have not changed !!! 😂 I Began watchtower studying in high school when I was 17 where I met my now husband (was a Jw and I was Catholic). And I met a lot of born in JW girls that were weird. I remember that some of the girls would be quickly in love because a JW would give her a lollipop or just tell them good morning!!! I remember a Thursday afternoon a group of JWs planned to go to the movies the next day after school and after talking to a JW mom that would come with us. And there was this “”sister” that was absent that day, so we asked her JW neighbor (boy) to tell her about the plan. She got so excited that the next day, she was all over the “brother” sitting next to him and asking him if he wanted popcorn etc! Thing is that after that day, he did not continue talking to her or just acted normal. She went to the elders to tell them that he played with her feelings! The elders met with the guy and with other JW teens a few to get more information. The JW boy just said I didn’t invite her because I was interested in her, it was a group thing. 😂. This sister took other JWs to the elders too! It was crazy to see the other JW girls even crying because they would easily get the wrong impression- yeah they were weird. My boyfriend (today my husband) even told me we had to keep our relationship hush 🤐 hush because i was worldly! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Sometimes we remember all those stories and we just laugh - so naive! Thanks again! And as I always say: DOWN WITH THE TOWERRRR!

Oh my Goodness!! You guys this is exactly the dating culture. Kids are constantly being chaperoned. My mom starting crying because I held the brothers hand I dated for over a year 😂 Anyway we eventually got married because at that very young age I couldn’t stand my parents eyes constantly policing me. I was 20! He was a horrible husband and also a ministerial servant that watched porn for hours after I fell asleep. He would rather have sex with himself than his own wife. It was absolutely awful physical connection. This is very important. Sex is a big deal in a marriage. Any way I’ve NOT been a witness now for 8 years. I’ve kept morals based off my Bible trained conscience and have built a fulfilling life with a man I actually dated for real got to know him and married him . I will never expect this nonsense of my children.

I'm not going to lie If I was a teen I could probably use that transparent advice. Because a lot of Churches today don't talk about it. My Choir friend had a teen daughter. She got pregnant. When my girls were teens I told them everything & recommended them to have contraception ( Condoms) in case they can't control it!!! Teen pregnancy is a epidemic or abortion. The parents should teach their own Teens.

Hey yall! I had a girl at my hall who was 16 and her parents signed for her to marry this 28 yo brother because they thought he had money....they all broke together now. 😂😂 Then there was a couple that was together the whole time I grew up in the hall but the wife passed away. When I tell you she passed away on a Sunday, her funeral was Thursday, and the husband was REMARRIED by Saturday???!!! Scandalous. Lol he end up marrying a sister that's been "single" my whole life. So everybody speculated that they was together before that sister passed. It was crazy. Then guess what ? He got disfellowshipped for drinking 6 months after that and ain't been back yet. So that sister still goes to the kingdom hall alone. Was marriage worth it???? 😂😂

@@AwakenTruths Yeah…, big time baptised. Everyone seems to think I can do way better and it’s not worth the intervention of chaperones and stringent laws and that. I guess it’s the good old sunk cost fallacy. I’ve chased her real long and in-between had rollercoasters of relationships in so far as turbulence and trials. Which made her seem more ideal but I laugh with no energy and so helplessly weak at the idea of a 3rd wheel aka the chaperone. It would be so uncomfortable and odd.

The Bible said all of that it’s not just a Witness advice. I know you no longer believe in God or the Bible.. the Bible says unequally yoke which may include someone from different religious belief… not always but sometimes that is an issue in marriage. Also Jehovah’s Witnesses are not only Church who teaches this. Churches where the Bible is taught also gives same advice. Having multiple dating experience is not always the best. People who get into perversion have to take responsibility; it’s their poor choice not their Church.
