We know ONLY UP TO A POINT, for a fact, never forget. There has to be much, much much more. Not something to take lightly. The fact that we get to see a full life preview should make one sit up and and review why it should be so. Also if doctors and technology are not in control of our lives, since the NDE's tell us they are given a choice to stay or go back, there has got to be God in control there.

Dr. Sam Parnia has said repeatedly that, aside from suicide, the majority of the NDEs tend to be positive in nature. All of the work he's done and what he has to say about NDEs is very interesting indeed, and it certainly gives a sense of "Ahhhh, good" to the whole DEATH issue, but it's very disturbing to me that, based upon what he has dealt with, those who take their own lives will have unpleasant NDEs. I first heard him speak about it in an NPR interview, going so far as to warn people.....

In the life review everyone of us get to feel the effects of every action done by us in our life.So all the pain and suffering we created to others we experience. And it's not a kind of revenge it's rather a way of learning and understanding. The hell experience is created by person's beliefs, fears. (the experiences are influenced by thought). In out of body experiences some people have a negative experience too like seeing a evil entity, a demon and really looks real, but thought create it.

I have a bit of a problem with Dr Parnia's AWARE study. To wit. The very last thing I would do if/when experiencing spontaneously leaving my physical body during surgery, is to look for some silly placed object in order to report back the veracity of my experience. My reaction would very much be that in this state, I really wouldn't care whether you believe me or not. I would believe me.

... more. But those who die from "natural" causes are gifted with amazing, beautiful, life affirming trips through the other side. Does this include rapists, murderers and child molesters? Is there rhyme or reason to how these NDE experiences are doled out to individuals? Imagine, you're a girl who has been beaten and raped repeatedly by a family member, had to deal with that and other misery, and you take your life to escape a kind of pain most can't imagine, only to go to hell. This angers me.

against commiting suicide. It seems very unfair to me, if in fact this is something true, real, set in stone. People who commit suicide are already experiencing pain, anguish, meaninglessness, etc. Pain enough to go against their most basic drive: to stay alive. Someone I loved very much killed himself, his external life was in chaos and his very self had been suffering tremendously for years. It made me cry to think that after doing something so final, so drastic, so brutal, he had to suffer...

wondering if anyone can answer this. There are people who have been dead for up to an hour and don't have an NDE. If consciousness is separate from the brain, the brain is dead, the heart isn't beating, why would these people not experience a NDE?

    10-20% actually.

There are less than 5% of the people which are close to death that have such NDE...Most people don't have any experience!
