I enjoy your conversations about music and gear. And despite sitting in front of a camera, I don't get the impression that either of you are changing what you might say to each other if the camera wasn't there. I appreciate that. Jeffrey Lee, my purchase of that Fahey record was also influenced by Fremer's review. It's cut a bit hot but it sounds great. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

A friend of mine has the MFA Luminescence preamp with MFA power amps in a system with Quad speakers and custom made subwoofers. Great system but he hasn’t listened to it in years. 😂

Always good to see Jeffrey Lee with you, Bob. So many different ways to put a vinyl system together--maybe too damn many. This one looks like a great sounding rig and if you and Jeffrey Lee are happy it must be.

I use a crown IC150A and it's probably the best I have heard and I simply like the features it exhibits. I like IC in preamp and tubes in Amplifier. Choose your poison folks!

I've never heard of those MFAs but have taken note to do some reading. As a fellow Tom Bukovac fan, I'm curious to check out that Hermanos Gutierrez - Sonido Cosmico record. A good friend of mine bought me a copy of Tom's Plexi Soul record (signed by him 👍) for Christmas this past year. I also have Ceramic Animal's Sweet Unknown (on blue smoke vinyl that actually sounds good); another record that Tom helped with and that was also produced by Dan Auerbach' on East Eye Sound. However, if I pick up the Sonido Cosmico, I'll take your recommendation and stick to the "delicious black vinyl" (as Sam from The Vinyl Douche channel would say). I had to trade in The Smile's Wall Of Eyes earlier this year for the same reason; while they nailed the aesthetic with the blue color matching the cover art...it was noisy as all hell...especially side 2 if I recall...but I digress. Cool video Bob; always enjoy when you bring JLP into the fray.

Hi and thanks. They're ADS L810. I love switching out speakers but the 810s have been sitting pretty for a few years and just seem to get better as the gear around them gets better. One of these days I hope to find the original speaker stands, but they're way more rare than the speakers.

Have you ever listened to early Calexico Black Light…and Hot Rail? In that spaghetti western atmospheric south of the border vibe. Also Psychedelic sounds of Cumbia is a favorite. What Vincent power amp is your bud using? I’ve got an 00’s SV236 MKII. It slams in a small house with Klipsch Forte IV’s. My 70’s boyhood dreams realized. Unfortunately, can’t bypass the internal tube preamp to try any other preamp. Also John Fahey Visits Washington DC is another great 70’s..early 80’s(?) lp. Huge beautiful recording. My first of his then I went deep dive like it was an undiscovered country but I had never seen After Broadway. I will check the listening tips.

Hello. Jeffrey Lee here. I really like Calexico but have never heard that one. Thanks for the heads up. My amp is the SP331, the original model in that series. It has been a work horse. I love Vincent gear, but my Vincent SA32 preamp will be gathering dust for a long while now that the Magus is back in town.

I went to back to back gigs on that Beck Tour. Dirty Three opened in Charlotte and The Cardigans in Raleigh. Cardigans with a bunch of Sabbath covers to open. In Charlotte at Grady Cole the paramedics were extremely busy. Craziest pit I have ever seen during the part where Beck pulled out the acoustic. Made no sense. But on a basketball court people got their sculls slammed. Was pure insanity.

I ued to have Odelay I bought right when it came out.. on 1st run pressing.. sold for a few hundy and I'm happy for it as I don't care for Beck at all anymore he annoys me like the Beastie Boys - the musical concepts were ok but the vocals are horrendous
