Maby except for the fact Tate killed his stepfather and school children and Jefferson never did. But except for that many. Tate was emotional though. Like Klaus. Jefferson's not a killer but he might share some personality tests with Tate. Tate did not become like this on his own though. None of them did.

anime fan It's a shame we lost Jefferson in favor of Bucky. But it was an acceptable sacrifice (unlike losing Graham to Fifty Shades). And it saved Jefferson from the stupidity of Seasons 3, 4, and 5.

I love how just his voice and the fact that he calls her Grace she knows who it is before she turns around. And then Sebastians acting is just... no words. There are no words for it. I literally love him, he’s so amazing

I cried at the fact that he flinched after saying her name, almost fearing that she would hate him. This reunion is top three for me.

His expression at 1:46 is for me characteristic of what a fantastic actor Seb Stan is. The fact that he was able to capture so much emotion, and so many memories, all in one facial expression... It's incredible. It's so realistic and believable, the desperation to be reunited with his daughter, but tentativeness out of fear of rejection. Such a moving scene.

Jefferson's story is so sad... I'm glad that it ended well. But it's really scary, how he lost his mind... And Sebastian Stan is great actor, thanks to him we can see Jefferson's true love for his daughter, his madness and his pain. Amazing.

He did such an amazing job at playing this character. His facial expressions, movements...everything. 1:53 I mean...really, how can you not love the guy

His eyes when he starts to cry 😭 the bluest blue that ever blue...

There's just so much in his eyes. Like, trying to imagine the kick-to-the-groin sheer betrayal that trapped him in Wonderland, plus all uncountable eons in Wonderland trying to "make it work," added to thirty years of hell trapped in a house knowing she is so close and yet so far AND what they had, it's freaking impossible to imagine such hell. Then take that, add it to fear your daughter hates you, and how the HECK do you show it? And then Sebastian Stan's like GOT THIS, with ONE EXPRESSION.

The phrase 'right in the feels' has never been so applicable as it is to this scene :)

I really wish they kept Jefferson around more. I would've loved to see him reconnect with Grace and their journey together after reuniting. Seb even said he would've loved to come back since he felt there was more story to tell.

I love that sweet, vulnerable look he has at about 1:46 when she first turns around :)

Who else thinks that if Sabastian Stan hadn't become Bucky that he and Emma would have made a great couple? Think about it. They both have kids the same age, outcasts, and they seem to have had great chemistry together even if the actors did date each other at one point during Once upon a time off set.

+Jena Minton One of the reasons why Jefferson never returned was due to the fact that Sebastian and Jennifer (Emma) had dated during the first season but had a rather harsh breakup afterwards. As Jefferson was only meant to be a cameo type character, the writers wrote him off for the best interest of Jen.

That's not why he left. He left because of his obligations to Marvel and other projects and was too busy for more episodes. If that was the reason for him being gone they would have recast the Hatter in the wonderland spin off. They loved his performance so much as Jefferson that him being too busy to fill the role was the reason the Hatter was left out of the Wonderland spin off. If Sebastian didn't have the time for it, then they weren't doing to include the Hatter. The creators literally say "We would move heaven and earth to get him to come back in either show. We're never going to have a Mad Hatter that isn't going to be played by Sebastian, so we're not recasting him. We're just going to keep that seat empty because he's a special talent." This is one of my favorite scenes in the show. There's really nothing more beautiful than the love between a father and daughter, and these two portray it beautifully. It's too bad that the Hatter never got more time on the show, but I'd say leaving their story here was better than dragging it out or overdoing it. They didn't need more than this to build a relationship for these two.

Beautiful. This has to be the best reunion in once upon a time in my opinion. A man, trapped in a different realm, driven out of sanity, finally finds his daughter

nonamejustx for ouats version definitely. Not sure for the movie version, depps version adds a comedic angle. Sebastian can do some comedy.

Let us just admire the incredible shade of his eyes...and his acting abilities.

I ABSOLUTLY love this scene with the mad hatter and his daughter, I hope him and grace make another appearance I love there characters... and henry shouldn't be the only constant child on this show =\

Aw man I love this scene and the way Grace says "You found me I knew you would" is so touching. Great acting, heartfelt emotion, I love where the series is taking off. Hope to see more Jefferson and Grace in the future. Also AWWWWWWW poor Henry he misses Emma.

I was so happy he was finally reunited with his daughter.

I thought I loved Sebastian alot. Cuz when I watched Bucky he was so mysterious, sad ,BADASS and a cute cinnamon roll. So I thought nothing could make him even more attractive and then I see this... My mind came up and realized the missing piece. Nothing beats when a man shows deep fatherly love. Or displays devotion towards family. It's so beautiful like his face 😭😭

This is the first time I ever saw this, I hardly know what's going on and I still teared up! I've always been interested in checking out this show but had always put it off. ...I think Sebastian Stan has persuaded me otherwise :D

Ugh that part where she runs to him...and his eyes...makes me cry EVERY DAMN TIME lol.

That is just the cutest reunion! He doesn't even put her down, he walks away with her in his arms

i cry everytime i see this. its so heartbreaking that he was cursed to remember but Grace couldnt, until the curse was broken. i deeply hate what Regina did to Jefferson. all because she was selfish.

That's why Regina deserved to suffer in season 7. Even prior to the dark curse of season 7 and despite the fact that fans hate that season it's good to see Regina forced to cast the curse to keep Henry alive, it's very tantalizing and she knows what it feels like to be helpless and powerless.

Henry's gift and his right to the title of 'Story-teller' - he gives people the hope that they can have a second chance. Emma, Regina, Jefferson, August, Jacinda, Nick/Jack/Hansel, Ivy, he gave them the chance to make their lives better because of his belief in them.

Henry is so innocent, happy endings and magic will fix everything and now he's so old and a borderline skeptic and I AM NOT OK!

For those wondering, the song at the end is "Meet the Jefferson" from the Season 2 Soundtrack
