@@DeeRG you realize everyone can have a personal GOAT and that not mean they think that person is actually better than everyone else. He's just saying DRose is his favorite, no need to be a dick.
The thing the people forget about this, Is that the Utah Jazz WAIVED DRose. Had him sitting out the league for a hot minute. So when the timber wolves picked him up and they had their first game against the Jazz. It was fitting that DRose ball out against them to make them understand how big of a mistake they made. It was an F you. I was crying that night too. Happy for the man.

Man for me being somebody from Chicago growing up in the 90s and playing basketball my whole life wanting to go to the nba but being short and not really having the support growing up poor when derrick rose came to the bulls I had been following them since Jalen rose was on the team and it developing so every game was so inspirational cuz bro played like me just with hops and has heart then all of the sabotage in his career to thibs not letting him play on twolves made that game extra special cuz I had been screaming every year for bro to start somewhere. I had twolves as a contender with drose starting. He just represents the average young black or whatever kid from Chicago with no hope but overwhelming determination to survive and defy all of the people that were against us.
D Rose has his career high AFTER the injuries. Icon.

Shiii- I know I shed some tears too watching, I remember like if it didnt work out for him in MN (after being cut by the Jazz!) people were saying D-Rose was done then. Of course im a T-Wolves fan and you could see he played his ass off when he was with us. I really didnt care for Thibs as coach / GM but I do give him credit for sticking with Rose and giving him an opportunity. And then seeing him that night go from 20 to 30 ur thinkin' "Awesome he stepping up with our other PG's out!" then 30-40 "This is... amazing." Finally 40 to 50 I was cheering and he broke his career high. So much pain, doubt from the media and others, hell probably even himself from over the years. That game showed he doesn't quit; even when he had SO MUCH taken away from him. Not only one hell of a player, but one hell of a person.
Good stuff
I remember crying off this 😢
D-Rose was my favorite player when he was at Chicago. I had all his shoes. Watching him that night was like going back in time and seeing him in his prime with the Bulls. Crazy past is, I was crying as I watched it, too. 😂😂😂
