Jeff was bang on as usual, especially about Pettersson. Trading a 25 year old point-a-game centre would not be the decision of a team trying to win a championship.

People, especially sports fans jump to conclusions quickly. Petey was injured, but if he's off again next year, then there's something to talk about. He was a point a game player, although we all saw was not as dominant as previous years. Hopefully next year, he'll show his dominance once again. This is why fans are not GM's, they would trade everyone as soon as they had a bad season.

If they trade Hronek for a top 6 winger, then they just have another hole to fill on the side beside Hughes. Hughes and Petterson both need a solid and reliable partner to play with.

Which is why I'm not a fan of this deal. They're getting rid of little to no cap space. Then they are going to have to likely replace Hronek through free agency. Right handed defense on free agency will come at a premium. I'd rather see them sign a forward through free agency for less. Necas is a gamble if he doesn't work out they're stuck with a bad contract. Hronek should be traded strictly if they can free up cap space.

Do you go out and get Tyler Toffoli or is he finished as a top goal scorer?

Toffoli would be a pefect fit for the Canucks but wants 4×6mil? We know he could find a way to score in Tocchet's system but he's 32 and it's a long shot to pay off on the long run. If it was 2 and 5?? 🤔

Trading Petey sounds about as stupid as the small but loud percentage of fans who want Demko traded "because that $5 million could be put to good use" with Silovs replacing him. I think they may be suffering from hypoxia with their heads in their keisters cutting off their oxygen and affecting their judgement.

Surrey's Brenden Dillon would fill Big Z's skates and if Hronek is willing to sign for around 6.5 he'd be definitely be worth resigning. Resign Myers and the D is taken care of. Good in goal, just need a sniper to play with Petterson. Dakota will be paid alot more next year and hopefully he earns it by being that power foward Petey needs.

Solid plan I like it. I vote to getting a forward through free agency instead of the trade route.

All they need to do is sign Gretzky and Orr. They’ll be set👍

Resign Hronek for a reasonable deal, maybe 7x7 or 7x6. He was obviously injured in the second half and that’s why we didn’t see that slapper. No doubt he can put up 60-70 pts healthy. You simply don’t trade a 26 year old top 4 RHD heading into the prime of his career.

Trade petey for Brady tkachuk plus extention Sign lindholm and trade for top 6 forward
