Tank took away his jab and was attacking Ryan body all night and when Ryan tried to put on pressure Tank would take his punch and deliver the powerful punch. Tanks game plan was to attack the body, especially on the side of that left hook to take away its power making Ryan ineffective. It’s hard to extend that hook when them ribs sore.

Tank is always precise with the punches he throw. He even said it leading up to the fight… when tank shoot he normally hit.

This fight will not hurt Ryan at all in fact fighters with power don’t need to be undefeated. They gain fans with KOs! Remember canelo loss bad against MAYWEATHER and his biggest loss made him a star attraction after that fight. Same will happen for Ryan if he can hurt 140 pounders like 30,35 lbs and win. But Ryan showed how green he is. He should have kept doing what he did in Rd one forcing the shorter reach Davis to come in for his counter and until then win RDs with the jab but he got impatient and ran into a shot that changed the fight. Tank made ryan fight his fight! With all the talk tank stayed to his plan but Ryan ran right into his trap!

I dont think anyone really NEEDs to be undefeated if theyre entertaining. I think the only person who truly cares about Mayweathers 0 is Mayweather(and I actually find him maybe THE most entertaining because I like watching smart, calculated people do their thing).

I agree. I thought Ryan would continue to do what he did in the first round, but he went in all crazy in the 2nd and paid the price. I think the fight could’ve been a lot more interesting had he done that, after the first 3 rounds had he stuck to that game plan, Tank would be forced to pressure Ryan and Ryan is naturally a counter puncher so maybe he would’ve stood a better chance. Ryan fell right into tank’s plan and he played the counter puncher all night against Ryan forcing Ryan to fight on the front foot. He has some work to do before he can challenge guys like prograis, Taylor,teo at 140 but hes still young and talented as all hell.

I don’t understand how this was ever viewed as a 50/50 fight? This is one of the most unevenly matched fights I’ve ever seen. Ryan is a good fighter but he is not light years away from being evenly matched with Tank. I simply don’t understand the sport of boxing and its culture at all.

I’m not an expert at boxing but I do know when you get hit square in the face from GTD it hurts!!! Round 2 changed Ryan game plan he didn’t want that to happen again he was trying to cover his whole body after that. I bet Ryan was like where’s my turtle shell and two extra arms😢

Don't agree that one punch changed the whole fight comment. Ryan was losing every round with the exception of maybe one or two rounds... it's funny to me how when Tank knocks people out quickly then he's a puncher not a boxer but I think he showed both this fight and out boxed Ryan when he had to and then punched hard body when had to.. all around fighter, if anything, Ryan was out of his league and had no answer for TANK.... #GTD. Of course, juss my opinion on what I saw, I don't claim to be a professional analysis on boxing...

I have been hit like that, so I know how it feels… Tell these keyboard warriors again… That shyt is painful as hell… I rather take a shot on the chin than a body shot…

Not enough work by Garcia. Should have been jabbing while acquiring superior position, and looking for the uppercut set. As long as the short man can change levels without concern, the left hook is useless. Throw those uppercuts to make his world a little more dangerous. Throw 20 to 30 expertly crafted jabs to keep him moving. When a pattern emerges, start looking for a chance to throw the hook.

Wrong. He Earned this fight. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate why he deserved it. He's got what it takes to win, but he had to USE It. By using the jab and the uppercut set correctly, he could have actually won. Make no mistake, the only way to beat a shorter fighter, with the skill set and durability of a dude like tank, is to DO this. It's how Lennox Lewis beat Mike Tyson, back in the day. You guys have an uppercut to keep the shorter man off the body and a great jab to keep him at range so you can deliver your arsenal.

Real hall of fame Coach Calvin Ford 🥊 vs privileged coach Goosen. They better not rob coach Calvin like they did with Roger mayweather and Sr and give coach Calvin his flowers.

People need to realize that Tank dictates every fight like Floyd he forces his opponent to have a low activity rate because you don't want to get countered by his speed & power & get knocked out!

You don't need high volume punching when you land at a high percentage with power...Devin is undisputed but he doesn't have to offense to keep Tank off him...jab and grab won't work...Tank's real test at 135 is Shakur...that's the fight where he'll have to step up the punch output because it's hard to touch Shakur let alone land power

Ryan never recovered from 2nd rd KD I knew he would rush and get clipped.

But Garcia is young and eager, everybody dissing him yet watched the fight. He should be applauded for making this fight happen and it was him that made this fight happen. You all wanted to see it but dissed him at the same time and now diss him for losing! Not one of you have the balls to get in a ring even with a novice let alone a pro. Garcia is young and will learn patience, that is what lost him this fight so easily. He got bored and wanted to generate some excitement became over eager, if he had fought a long range fight it would have been a snooze fest and even if he went the 12 rounds he wouldve been attacked for making it a snooze fest! Both Tank and Garcia and boxing in general came out winners.. How many other fighters have been willing to put their O losses on the line. Look at Spence and Crawford for instance?

You're correct on everything said. To me Ryan has no heart period but a lot of mouth. This fight didn't even live up to the hype. Rolly did way better than Ryan. The difference between Ryan and Rolly is the heart, that's the only difference. I do believe Tank was more worried on this fight than any fight because he knows what Ryan can bring. Yes it was only the left hook but also Ryan being a big internet celebrity had people betting big against Tank. With that said, I believe Ryan has lost a lot of fans, simply for having no heart. Ryan was betting for God to be on his side by playing the innocent pretty boy with a triumph story coming back from depression in hopes to be the first to defeat Tank Davis. He hasn't made any excuses yet but being the cry baby he is, it's coming. He sure wanted to make excuses at post conference when he said he's moving to 140, he didn't feel his strongest fighting Tank. I believe he was totally fine at the weight, just a bit inexperienced. Crazy thing is Mayweather and whole team including Gervontae And Oscar knew Ryan wasn't ready. Oscar just needed a payday. That's the reason Oscar and Hopkins let Ryan defend for himself at the post conference. Basically embarrassed and upset to have Mayweather get the last word as always. Ryan team has let him down. His coach was never the right coach for him. As for me, the perfect coach for him is either Robert Garcia or Joel Diaz.

That’s not what I saw . It was boring due to Garcia not understanding distance , or timing , Garcia falling for every feint of Davis’ , doesn’t know how to cut off the ring . Very uneducated jab. Poor ring IQ, clearly letting Davis win the hand fighting . Pinning Garcia’s left hand . No variety in his left hook . No understanding of defense he completely shelled up and turned his back on his opponent. Lots of problems .
