So much as happened since we lost Coach Leach. I sure hope this calms down and steadies for our program. Hail State.

I was as critical as anyone of Jeff Lebby as the OC of my Sooners, but I was very much hoping to see his offense with Arnold at the helm! I already miss him! He doesn't run an offense the way im used to it, but you absolutely can't deny the results! Finishing his time with the Sooners with one of the best offenses in the nation! After one of the most volatile years in Oklahoma football history! Great job coach Lebby! This Sooner fan will miss you!

We'll be better off without him. His offense got yards but its 5 runs with RPO off of that. It's not the offense for OU to win a national title with.

Rumors are Gabriel is going to follow Lebby to Miss St and Arnold will be the starting QB at OU. @@LonghornsLegend

One of the best offenses in the nation? They kept getting stuck when they had to score, hence the losses.

As an lifelong OU fan, I wish him nothing but the best at MSU

Man, wish he stayed and helped finish out this 2024 and 2025 class. We had a lot of momentum and Jackson Arnold. Could have won a national championship. I get it though, pay raise and he always wanted to be a coach. Just bad timing. Good luck Jeff, hope you made the right move and thanks for helping OU out when we were at our lowest moment when Riley left. You brought DG over and got us back on our feet so thank you.

I don't think Lebby's offense was the one to win a national title. It gets alot of yards yes but he has like 5 or 6 run different run plays and RPO off of that. Don't be surprised if OU is better off. Also one coach doesn't make or break recruiting at OU... We lost Lincoln and came right back with the best recruiting class we've had since Riley was there. It's Oklahoma we'll be fine.

@hotcarl3854 I completely understand you wish he could have stayed. There was just unfortunate circumstances that happened that ended up causing a domino effect. Coach Leach's sudden passing set a lot of things into motion. It's been a tough year for everyone who loves Mississippi State. I appreciate reading OU fans' comments and how much a lot of you will miss him. *Sigh* I wish Coach Leach was still with us...

He seems like a good guy. And some friendly history with Kiffen to juice up the rivalry. But Hotty Toddy!

Lebby has called some of the best games I’ve ever seen, and some of the worst. Lost is the Kansas and OSU games but won us the Texas game. Wish him the best but happy we’re moving in a different direction. Congrats coach!

Hopefully OU's playcalling will be more consistent, but I pray to God we don't lose the foundation set by Lebby. MSU will definitely be a fun program to watch!

@@MuffinTable111 for sure. Lebby was great at times and has a ton of potential but he was extremely inconsistent. Randomly throwing seam routes on 1st and 2nd down leaving us with 3rd and long way too much, running 8 jet sweeps a game then not running another one for 2 weeks it was just strange at times. He definitely had his moments tho, I think he’ll do well at MSU

After Downs’ INT vs KU, Lebby’s play calling was atrocious.

As a Die Hard Sooner Fan Good Luck Coach Lebby. And Thank You for your help getting OU back to where it needed to be headed into the SEC. Which you was with us instead of VS us but thats OK. Next man up has always been the OU motto. BOOMER SOONER !!!!

I'll never blame Coach Arnett for what 2023 ended up being. Wouldn't mind seeing him rehired as DC at MSU.

I think the hire was great. Worth the risk. Definitely can’t get worse. Nowhere to go but up.

We all know this isn’t going to end well. I think Lebby is a solid coach, but the situation there is impossible. OU and UT joining, which pushes Miss St further down the food chain, plus the likely decision to go to 9 conference games. Gonna be difficult to get to 6-6 most years.

And with the new scheduling, there are no divisions so they don’t play Texas, Oklahoma, or Bama etc all in the same season

Jeff Lebby is about to put a Baylor 2.0 staff together. A who’s who of Art Briles tree coaches will be on the sideline in Starkville - and Art won’t be far.

I think he will probably be a decent coach, but it's gonna be hard to win at Mississippi State, especially with SEC expansion

All downhill from here and not in a good way lol, the way miss state and more so arkansas can win is to recruit texas players! If he gets half his roster from texas and florida he can be successful along with a good DC

Well luckily Lebby was raised by a Texas coach and married into the family of another Texas coach so he probably has more contact with high school coaches in the state then anyone at aTm or Texas 😅
