I cant believe Jeff Hardy would leave Wwe in 2009 while he was at the top of the company.

him leaving was storyline but he got fired days after, for being arrested for drug charges. the original plan was to have him return in 2010 for wrestlemania 26 but he had 2 strikes already on the drug policy for his 2 suspensions during 2008/2009.
