One of the best sermons I’ve heard!

My wife and i woke up a few hours ago randomly 4 am. We layed together wide awake recalling our childhoods and wishing we both had parents who actually PARENTED us, rather than Placating, passively paying little attention,and allowing us to do whatever the heck the wanted to. How we wished we had strict yet loving shepherd like parents, involved and aware. Godly parenting is so needed these days.

It’s crazy you say this because me as well. I do long walks with my girlfriend on weekends and that’s our only time together. I noticed that I do a lot of gossip and she had told me that this passed week and I just sat there and was like “that’s so right.” So I find it very ironic that this was the sermon n I watched today.

Pastor Jeff Durbin. Today brother Dan brought me to visit your church this afternoon and I just wanted to say I really enjoyed the service and you delivered a powerful and meaningful sermon. I never saw one of your sermons before, but I have watched numerous hours of you facing government bodies and saving babies outside these abortion mills. I deeply appreciate your efforts to save the unborn. You seem to have a very loving and devoted congregation. Amen buddy. When my wife and I went to REFORMCON last October, we really wanted to pay a visit to Apologia, but we were so busy we couldn't make it. It was great meeting these guys though, Jeff, James W., And others, Jeremiah Roberts really helped us get to be able to go, he hooked us up with a voucher because of our financial situation. If I could stand the heat of AZ year round, I'd move there. Butttt I can't hang.

@@Chesterchurch ...the heat can be a little rough during the 3 month summer, but the rest if the year is absolutly beautiful weather. I just had to learn to acclimate and stay hydrated. Just like a baby's first words in Tempe, " but it's a dry heat"😄

I already attend bible church weekly closer to my house for a few years now, and just as pastor Durbin rightly exposites the word, our pastor exposites the word verse by verse the same way. Our church belives in supporting other like minded biblicaly sound churches and we always pray in support of them.

Haha that's cool I need to make a give send go page to ask for donations from other believers to help us be able to attend the conference. We have a place to stay in AZ with our friends, and the tickets would probably be covered, I'd just need to find the $ to cover the ✈️🛫 flight.

Christ is never NOT on the throne!

Amen we have to repent of sin even being under grace. I followed false westernized christianity most of my young life while living a life of sin and believing in a false god... so grateful God has changed my mind and heart.

God doesn't define "prospering" the same way the world does! As His kids, we need to renew our mind (Rom 12:2) continually so we can also see things from God's point of view. We are in this world, but not OF it!
